Scout.com wrote:Andre Mondor talked about how his senior season's been going so far.
"Our season'ss been going good," Mondor said. "We've had ups and down, had a few injuries. Every week is a week better. I have to get faster with some of the things I have been doing. There's more pressure than last year (4A state title team)."

Mondor, 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

"I don't have any official visits set yet," he said. "I've been talking to Liberty University, University of Delaware, and Ohio University."

Who has the edge right now over the rest?

"I don’t know because I haven’t been on any visits. I am just going by what I mail I have gotten so far."

The talented big man talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.

"How the players are, how they interact with each other," he said. "I wanna be somewhere I enjoy playing. Academics are also very important."

Inside the classroom Mondor claims a 3.5 GPA and an 1110 SAT score.

Andre Mondor makes his pick
Posted on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at 11:55 p.m.

Andre Mondor, who anchored the Plant offensive line during two state championship seasons, has committed to Liberty, Panthers coach Robert Weiner said.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder also considered Albany.

A three-year starter for the Panthers, Mondor won the Jimbo Kynes Award, given to the county's top lineman, last week.

A Division I-AA program, Liberty is a member of the Big South. The Flames went 8-3 in 2009 and won the conference title.

In Mondor’s final two seasons at Plant, the Panthers lost just twice.

During his freshman and sophomore seasons, he provided solid pass blocking for all-state QB Aaron Murray, who’s now at Georgia, and the Panthers’ throw-first offense. Last fall, Plant became more of a running team, and behind Mondor they rushed for 3,155 yards.

i don't have anything to really contribute about this kid, but i just love how these things go...the original post says 6'3 320, then the articles move him to 6'4 320 and then 6'5 330!

by the time he enrolls he'll be 6'9 375!

looks like some good pickups for lu lately. can't wait til 2/3 to see what kind of classes the BSC hauls in.

My original numbers came from a combine last spring that keeps fudging from occurring by coaches & parents. Obviously at his age, he's likely still has some growth left in himn over that time. One way or the other, he's a big kid.

And for those asking about the macbook, the pic was from an article about how technology is becoming a major factor in how high school gameplan these days.

Saw a Facebook post by this young earlier this week. He said that he is saddened to inform everyone that he will not be playing football anymore due to a career ending injury. Saddened to hear this, seems that we are losing depth due to injuries this year.
