(And coming full-circle, I'd bet ESPN would televist his debut.)

There are two threads about Rocco on the first page, and one of them is almost completely saying that Rocco isn't the guy while the other is saying they'd rather have Lembo than Rocco. They're enamored with Stockstill and Bowden.

East Carolina appears on track to launch a thorough, but likely very quick canvass of the nation in search of a new head football coach, and appears poised to begin interviewing candidates Monday.
Two days after Skip Holtz announced he was leaving the Pirates to become South Florida’s head coach, the list of possible replacements was lengthy but there was at least one seeming favorite — Middle Tennessee State head coach and former Pirate assistant Rick Stockstill.
Despite reports Saturday suggesting Stockstill might have interviewed for the position, the timeline of Saturday’s events doesn’t support that theory.
Other possible candidates include Bowling Green head coach Dave Clawson, Temple head coach Al Golden, Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster, former Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden, former Boston College head coach and ECU staffer Jeff Jagodzinski, former Texas Tech defensive coordinator and ECU alum Ruffin McNeil, Oklahoma offensive coordinator and Wilson native Kevin Wilson, Liberty head coach Danny Rocco and Navy defensive coordinator and Charlotte native Buddy Green.Click Here for Full Story

Of the five groups he mentioned, Holland said his focus was “on those coaches who have taken over tough situations and who have built strong programs from the ground up with the assumption they may be there for the rest of their lives.”
Coaches that have been rumored to be candidates for the ECU job that appear to fit in this category include Stockstill, Liberty’s Danny Rocco, Grambling State’s Rob Broadway and Bowling Green’s Dave Clawson.

Of course the timing is not going to be any better for any other college head coach ECU might offer the job to at this point.I agree, nice to see a head coach with some values. Rick makes FSU proud.
