He's out of a job. Any way we can make room for him to come back? I really enjoyed watching him coach, he sure has passion for his job.

In Chad's case, I highly highly highly doubt it. I haven't asked him personally, but he had a chance to coach in the ACC just over the age of 30. You don't pass that up, especially if you're trying to make this coaching thing a career.

Chad may have a chance to stick around when a new coach comes in. Most head coaches like to keep a position coach or two around for continuity sake when they come in.

They already "fired" all except for 2 assistants. Not that he couldn't be rehired by the new guy, but I'd doubt it.

I would love to see Wilt come back and return as the special teams coach seeing how that was a pretty sketchy area this past year. Him returning to that will give Roberts the chance to put all his focus back in to fixing our even more sketchy defensive backs

You're only allowed to have a certain number of coaches. Right now, we are at our limit. Unless one of our coaches decides to leave, there are no open positions on our staff.

SJ is right. Chad wants to keep moving up. a friend of mine spoke with him and he enjoyed his year back in charlottesville and is going to try and continue his move up in the coaching world. he did not rule out coming back, but a position has to be open. coming back to FCS would be a step back in his progression.

That's a good job for Chad. I'd rather be at Richmond than a low MAC or Sun Belt school.

You're probably right. The verdict is still out on Coach Scott though. Can't say I'm too impressed thus far.

manson...what are you basing your feelings about latrell scott?? he was a soild assistant at tennessee and virginia. he is young and energetic, coached at UR before and is a richmond guy. he has tradtionally been a WR coach and even though UVA's offense was bad, the receiving corps improved quite a bit under his tutelage. sure he is young and you never know how that will work out, but his past tells me he could do a good job. we will see, but i like the hire.

Of course the verdict is still out. He's had the job for less than a month.

I was just saying we don't know if Richmond will be a better job over the next few years than a low MAC or SunBelt school.
