I feel sorry for any team that takes on his attitude, ego bigger than the planet earth, and his mother who brings new meaning to the term "overbearing parent."

he has an immense amount of offensive abilities, but all his baggage and uncoachability makes him a cancer for any team.

Gee, big shock the UK fan would be hatin' on the kid. You would think Wildcat fans would appreciate a big ego and attitude and a cancer to a lockerroom. Ask folks in Memphis about Cal.

Except by the time he was eligible, John Caleb and Baird would be a sophomores, all of these freshmen would be juniors, and David and Jeremy would be seniors. Not to mention the talent that Layer could bring in as freshmen that year.

Illinois coach and fans never liked him either once they realized who Legion really was.

His immense amount of offensive talent is negated by his desire to never play a lack of defense - which is one of the big reasons why he never could get any minutes for UK or UI. What good does he do the team if he can score but give up even more points to his man on the defensive end?

Gillespie was giving him enough time at the beginning of the season to prove his worth and saw his PT quickly dwindle after getting 31 against Liberty, then he transferred to Louisville. Illinois gave him plenty of chances in the beginning to prove himself in his first season, but his total lack of defense quickly relegated him to the end of the bench. Illinois gave him more chances this year, but once again the same issues were still there and he was once again put on the end of the bench and was just the sixth option on the team at the guard spot. It became even more obvious her wasn't going to be a factor for the Illini when Webber recruited Legion's spot with talented freshman.

It's pretty obvious the kid has issues. He committed to Michigan, then decommited. Then he committed again and signed his LOI. Amaker was fired and asked to be relieved from his LOI. Then he goes to UK because his mother says God told her Uk was the fit and they were going to the Final Four. Apparently either God changed his mind or she is a maniac, because he decided to transfer before the first semester was even over. Now he hasn't even been able to play for a full season and is already bolting out of Illinois. Guy is a junior and will likely end up at his third school before the school year is even over. For his sake, hopefully he ends up at a school and in a conference bad enough that he can actually get enough playing time to keep him happy and keep his psycho mother in check, who has publicly proclaimed to be one of God's prophets, by the way http://www.kentucky.com/158/story/189453.html

Aside from basketball, I don't see him being a good fit at LU considering his mother is a self-proclaimed prophet of God. I imagine that would rub the LU faithful the wrong way. I can only imagine the insanity that will ensue if he isn't getting enough playing time or the team isn't winning enough to satisfy whatever wacky prophecy God supposedly handed down to her.

If Legion came to Lu and actually could make shots in a game, which he has struggled with his entire collegiate career so it's questionable, and averaged 15 points a game, unless he improved his defense he'd give up more than 15 a game on the defensive end, so how does that make LU any better?

a bad attitude teamed with an inability to make shots in games (which was and still is supposed to be his only strong suit aside from athleticism) and no defense can make you worse and most likely will.

so he doesnt deserve another chance to succeed?

I have faith that Layer could work w/ him plus he would bring something Liberty lacks. Athleticism

Legion won't help the team at all this year and won't help any at all until a year from now, so what's it matter what the scores are for this year? That's being short sighted. He may not even be much help at all if he doesn't figure out how to make shots in games instead of just in practice. You can have all the athleticism in the world, but if you can't shoot in games it doesn't do much good.
