Looks great!
Can't wait! Bunch of friends from LU days are planning on a home game next year. Have not been to a game since Homecoming 2003. Never thought I would live to see LU make such a firm commitment to their program.

good to see Branch get the job, they do excellent work and their founder Billy Branch is a good Christian man, who financially supported Young Life of the Roanoke Valley back in the day. The new renderings looks excellent as well. time to get excited. i really hope a construction cam is installed.

I think that's gonna look great. I can't for the life of me figure out how all of that is going to fit in between the current stands and the new soccer stands. I'm anxious to see it in real life.

I said that before and I am anxiouse to see how it all fits. Another question I had was is it still going to be from the 5 yard line to 5 yard line? From the drawing it looks like it is from the 20 to 20. Anyone know what the final length of the press is going to be?

LUConn, what i was told from an athletic dept staffer is that the space between the soccer press box and the football building is about as wide to get a vehicle through..that is it. but that was before they changed the renderings so who knows

If you look at the bottom existing rows, the 2 end columns are new. They're not there right now. So if you go to the next column of seats, it runs from a little beyond the endzone to about the 5-10 yard line. Maybe a little less. This is where I sit every game and I make sure to plant myself on the goal line and I'm about in the middle of the row so my guesstimation says that it goes to the 10 yardline. You can interpolate from there in this picture that it goes from ~10 to ~10.

Ha...where did you get 20 to 20 from on that PDF?

It is still scheduled to be from the 5 to 5.

It covers five sections of the lower deck. If you look at the current seating it would be the three sections with Chair backs and then one more on each side. This would put it between the 20 and the 15 yard line on each side. I may be off on where those sections end at though...sorry if I am just wanted to check because I hope it is that long and I cant wait to see this expansion :D

That's amazing! Great observation! I'm sure it's not intentional, but the rendering does bear an incredible likeness to traditional renderingsof the ark. Amazing! I'm still chuckling ... and probably will be all day!

I notice sloped roofs instead of flat. I wonder if it will be shingled or steel. Most new stuff these days is steel, I guess because it's cheaper. Not Jeffersonian though.

Sure - As long as we keep the beach chickens out.[/quote]

No, we need the beach chickens.... just like every year, we pluck 'em a part. Something to eat too, although probably not too nourishing because of the high blood/alcohol levels, and large intake of drugs..... ehhhhhh :vomit
