Thanks for the great, warm welcome!

It comes with the territory. Eventually you start to deal with the constant stream of melodic 80s pop rock... of course, your quality of life isn't exactly the way it was before, but you get by.
rueful wrote:I used to live in merced, CA, (she will understand, but for the rest of you, they are pretty close, im not just saying some random california town)
I don't think I've ever done anything more than drive through Merced on my way toward Fresno whenever I went up to the Sierras for camp... I usually don't go any further south than Turlock, but it's nice to run into a (former) fellow Central Valleyan (apparently that is the proper word... or at least the most-used word).

Probably won't say too much, not having much access to the games, and beyond that I'm not that well versed in sports - but I'm always looking to connect with Liberty alumni!

Don't let that bother you in the least...

Hello to everyone at flamefans. My name is LUaddict because I am always on the web looking at libertyflames.com for interviews, new games, stats, and see LU beat the crap out of teams.

MY names is Daniel Clark and prior service member just got out of the navy after 5 years of service.
Current MBA graduate student and I hope to finish my studies in the fall of 2011.
Hometown: Long Beach, CA
Reside: Santa Barbara, CA
I follow LU :football and watch all the games on Saturday with religiously no pun intended. I am an LU addict in that regard. I actually live an hour and half south of San Luis Obispo and I would like to go to a Cal Poly and watch a :football home game but have not been able to go because of my full course load at LU. Hope to be on here more often.

First welcome. and to robert, you probably are going to be the envy of most of the husbands on this board that your wife supports what will no doubt become or has already become an addiction.

fairly new to flamefans. was a resident student 06-09 on and off due to basic/ait for the army. was deployed this last october which pushed my wedding up to just a week before i left and i def. dont regret it :D this deployment forced me into being a dlp/military student, its good and all but nothing beats being on campus. i missed this entire last season of football and believe me it DESTROYED ME. id look for clips on youtube just to catch pieces of a game and i gave in to buying the bigsouthsports and turns out you need decent internet for that to work out so i end up staying up all hrs of the night to watch what bits and pieces of the game and it was all worth it. i LOVE liberty football and ima huge fan of the basketball team too. i love everything liberty i brag on liberty all the time and if these guys never heard of liberty before they know everything about it now :D i was lucky enough to get a signed liberty flag from the football and mens basketball team and im ever so careful with it, i leave it hanging on my wall and one day ill get the courage/stupidity to take it on mission with me so i can get a picture with it somewhere in iraq. the good news:! ill be back for next season and i told my wife we WILL not miss a home game haha. she wont go to the away games but theres 2 away games in VA i wanna go to if i can meet some other people that wanna go too. now u can tell from this long intro of me that most of us here in iraq are very....very...bored...i thank all of you for writing on these forums, it keeps me busy!

Nice to meet you tennisfan. I will be down your way in June. We are going to visit Church of the Highlands and will be planting a church around Oxford in 2012. It will be my first visit to Alabama. Any suggestions?

Hey all I'm fairly new to the board and thought I would introduce myself...

I am originally from Nebraska…so football is naturally my sport of choice although I follow basketball and baseball as well.

As my username implies I am a 09 grad and currently working in Lynchburg for a financial planning firm.

I’ve been married for a little over a year now. My wife is going to be graduating from LU in May :D

Hello!

I am Sue Happel, mom to incoming freshman volleyball player Lillie Happel who will be # 12 (hence my user name!). Our 2 oldest kids (of 6) went to Liberty, Jesse (phys ed major and played club lax) who graduated in 1999 and Stephanie (athletic training major and played softball) who transfered back home in 1999 to continue her softball career at UMBC. We have loved LU since we first came to a CFAW in 1993 and are so blessed and grateful that Coach Pinder offered Lillie (our youngest) a volleyball scholarship! Praise God! We love and appreciated the environment at LU and each time we come we feel the presence of the Holy Spirit so resident there.

We can't wait to join the ranks of the committed LU fans and parents. :D

Welcome to the board! Based on your prior parental experience with LU, I guess we don't have to explain the Liberty experience to you. But we love having family of our athletes on the board. Dive right in.
