Looks like we are laying an egg out there in the first half. Coastal is up 37-25. Shooting has been horrible.

I just wanna say thanks to all who came out tonight. I know there were 100 other things you could've been doing, and the weather forecast wasn't great, but you guys still came out and supported the team. Thanks for that.

this is definitely going to be a frustrating year. some nights we will be good, others we will not. i loved the fact that we never quit though. evan was not looking for his shot it seemed and no one could make a layup...absolutely no one. Carter was a non-factor tonight. im still puzzled on how Chris Perez gets playing time, but he is a freshman. Jeremy Anderson does not look comfortable at all and Jesse just does not look like he did last year. the crowd was ok, but when we got down the crowd just kinda died. but as SJ said, thanks to all who came out and supported the guys. they are going to get better, but it is gonna take time.

Not sure where you are coming from on Perez smoothie. He has probably been our most effecient offensive player and most productive per minute. 4-7 from the field tonight for 8 points in only 13 minutes. Shooting 55% on the year.

Mop up points after being down 24 at home. Maybe he will show better in future games.

Super, I was surprised how QUIET our students were:
No chants
No signs
No white boards
No yelling at the refs or Coastal's coach

I thought for sure you all would get something going with the Coastal player wearing the protective mask, but I couldn't hear anything from the Baptist side. Granted, a good student turn out, but they just weren't their usual rowdy selves tonight.

I'm not part of the student section anymore. I run the floor signs during games. I wish I could still be in there and yelling, especially in a game like tonight, but I can't. Such is life though.

The only player we have scoring more points per minute than Perez is Kyle, who is shooting 36% to Chris' 55%. Personally, I think he should be getting some of the minutes that have been going to Minaya and Anderson.

Actually.... They were tearing the refs apart. They were riding the refs all game.

I've never seen so many missed layups and putbacks from point-blank range. For a minute, I though Rashard Robinson and Damien Hubbard were back on the team. This is the first time I've actually seen the team play and I wasn't very impressed with McMasters. I love the look, but it would be better if he could play and complete the character.

I was sitting on the student side, and I can say that not only did the center section stand the entire game, we were all amped and ready to go crazy. The way the game played out on the floor just seemed to put a damper on everything. It seemed that for the first 23 minutes, CCU could do almost nothing wrong and we could do almost nothing right. I was pleased with the way the team competed to the end, and I think they will be better for the experience down the road.

If I have a complaint with the crowd, it was what I thought was a rather weak response when Sam Chelanga was recognized at halftime. Come on, the guy just won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP representing your school. Is it too hard to stand up for a few seconds and give him an enthusiastic round of applause?

Just wanted to make sure this was brought back up again. I think it is just you.

i stood after they announced it... i missed it when they first came out cause me and another guy were talking about how crazy it is to win a National Championship by yourself and what kind of feeling that would be.

 I guess so! I did'nt say that both teams were bad I just thought that if we played and did not make simple mistakes to beat ourselves LU could hang in there and pull out a couple of wins. When you cant even make a layup then you are going to have a hard time winning. Thanks for bringing this back up, putting me in my place and making me Crybaby

Sorry, Olldflame. I was walking back with the concession stand with 2 piping hot corn dogs in my hands, so I couldn't clap very loudly. Neverthless, congratulations to Sam! :clapping

Where in the heck did McMasters come up with that hair. While I appreciate your opinion, I'd much rather see his pregame time spent concentrating on playing big than trying to create some silly on-court persona.

I love the hair! Check out the tape: he's a 7-footer with that hair. Seriously, though, in the EARLY pregame warmups, he came out with flat hair, but he changed his hairdo before tip off.
