True -- but what, she's going to write I beat my ex-husband with a golf-club? That's always good for your image... 8)

TMZ wrote:Tiger Woods Won't Show for Golf Tourney

Posted Nov 30th 2009 2:56PM by TMZ Staff

Tiger Woods will not play in the Chevron World Challenge golf tournament this week.

The reason for Tiger's no show -- car crash injuries.

On Tiger's own website, he released a statement saying, "I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week ... I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."

The site also says Tiger will not compete in any more events this year.

And Tiger has admitted to some "transgressions" below is his statement (from any news source you choose right now):

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods said on his Web site. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

"But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

"Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

I have two quick reactions: 1) from a PR perspective and as "Tiger the Brand" this is probably the best way to handle this. 2) From a personal perspective i've always like Tiger, had the opportunity to see him at several events and Tournys. I think with someone like him it is very hard to distinguish between "The Brand" and "The Real Person"...but I would like to believe that he is sincere and certainly if he is sincere then this is what he would be saying. Clearly there is some truth to the rumors about him straying, although it DOES seem like now 50 people are coming out claiming they were with him. And I think there's a good chance a lot of these women are looking for publicity. But, again, I want to believe him -- i've always liked him and I've always liked what he appears to be... Is it all a facade? Who knows, but at least for now, i'll be hoping he and Elin and the family can work things out -- and hoping people just leave him alone (I know, zero chance of that).

Well worded apology. Glad he "came clean", and he certainly need not reveal more details, nor should he. My only problem is the forum. Come on Tiger; man up. Get in front of the mics and cameras and say it one time and be done with it.

Glad he "came clean", but should do it for the cameras? What the heck does he owe any of us?

It's odd how all of this snow-balled and came out all because of the weirdness of a simple car crash.

I think had the accident not happened, we would have see the hype from the tabloids around the same time.

glad he came clean but should have done so from the start. i hope that for the kids sake, they can work things out. Tiger may lose some endorsement dollars, but society have proven to be forgiving so in time it will get better, but he did this to himself and the fact of how private he is is now thrown out the window. the media will be in his business for quite some time.

I know that none of us know what really happened with his accident, but don't worry. The good folks over in China have it covered with this CGI re-enactment (stick with it. worth watching it all.):

Accurate and reliable, I'd say.

Apparently Elin moved out with new rumors of Tiger shacking up with a Porn star as well....
LAS VEGAS -- Things keep getting worse for Tiger Woods as yet another alleged affair is revealed, prompting his wife to move out.

The latest mistress is said to be porn star Holly Sampson.

The newest revelation reportedly prompted Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren to leave the couple's $2.6 million estate in Windermere, Fla., according to Radaronline.

The 29-year old is reportedly living nearby in another house owned by the couple in the same upscale neighborhood.

Four new women who claim they've slept with Tiger Woods were revealed by name this weekend, two others have yet to be identified.

According to WESH-TV, a woman was taken from Woods' multimillion-dollar home "on advanced life support" after firefighters received a call at 2:36 a.m. Tuesday.

The station said footage appeared to show a blonde woman on a stretcher.

Witnesses say an ambulance transported the female patient to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.

A black SUV, similar to the one Woods crashed the day after Thanksgiving, showed up at the hospital minutes later.

Witnesses told WFTV-TV that an "attractive blonde woman" who looked similar to Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren was driving the vehicle. According to the report, the license plate on that Cadillac Escalade seen at the hospital had only one character that was different from the Escalade involved in the crash.
