Doesn't look good on a number of different levels. Where are Team Tiger's people managing this situation? They had to know this was public record and would be out soon.

Florida Highway Patrol on the record in the Orlando Sentinel saying alcohol was not a factor.

Weird.

The whole things seems odd.
-Accident took place at 2:25am. Florida Highway Patrol does not report it until 2pm.
-Transported to Health Central Hospital in serious condition.
-FHP says alcohol is not involved.
-at 2:30pm, he was not a patient at Health Central Hospital

His "people" are managing this situation. It is not normal that information is not publicly released for 12 hours.

Later reports are now saying that his wife broke out the rear window of his car with a golf club in order to pull him from the vehicle. Apparently, she subscribes to cartoon theory in that a car running over a fire hydrant will automatically disable the car doors and fill the vehicle with water in seconds. It's a good thing she was standing right there. With golf club in hand. At 2AM.

Oh, by the way, rumors of Tiger having an affair broke earlier this week.

not sure this would be considered a rebound....one would have to break up first before they can rebound...but i get what you're getting at

Also known in some circles as "Superman III Theory".

Ha! The really funny thing is that I originally typed in "Superman III theory" and changed it because I didn't think anyone would get it.

Looks like she wasn't exactly using the club to help him out...
Tiger Woods: Injuries Caused by Wife, Not SUV

Posted Nov 28th 2009 6:08AM by TMZ Staff

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

It's TMZ, so you know. But there's that.

Its kinda hot to think about her acting like that...but that's just me.

TMZ is pretty spot on now a days so I fully believe this...think about the early reports of her "finding a golf club to knock out the back window to open the car" Yeh, didnt buy that for a second...this makes way more sense

I don't know about spot on...but they are a bit more accurate these days...this is one of the many reasons you don't cheat...women are crazy and are capable of anything...

They may still be a gossip site but they are credible enough to be quoted and used as a source

I saw that TMZ thing last night, and I think today they are reporting that anonymous law enforcement sources are confirming there wasn't blood inside the car at all etc.

Certainly TMZ has some credibility and their explanation makes sense -- but here's my question. They say he was out/groggy on the ground, and supposedly he was unconscious for as long as 6 minutes. Soooo 1) he must hit his head, 2) how the heck did he get out of the car (because he was passed out on the ground when the cops got there).... And finally, if he was passed out -- how did they get their story straight BEFORE other people showed up??

They both confirmed to police (and I think this was in early reports) that they had a disagreement and seemed to be on the same page... But then again I guess we don't know all the details. Also the girl the national enquirer claims was seeing Tiger has denied it and in fact wasn't even with him when they claimed 2 weeks ago... I don't really National Enquirer has nearly the credibility TMZ.

I dunno... These are the things where.... Why do we need to know this? Couples have disagreements, hubby gets ticked and goes out for a drive. I get that he plowed a hydrant -- but, do we really need 3 weeks of "Tiger and Ellen" now.... I'm bored, can you tell? End rant.

During the phone conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, "I have to run to Zales to get a 'Kobe Special.'" The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a "Kobe Special" was. The reply -- "A house on a finger."

During the conversation, Tiger said his wife had "gone ghetto" on him.

As we first reported, Tiger told the friend his wife had scratched his face up during an argument over a report that the golf great had cheated on her. The "other woman" named in the story -- Rachel Uchitel -- calls the report "bulls**t."

Of course, the Kobe reference is the now-famous house/ring he gave his wife Vanessa after the whole Colorado thing. We're assuming Tiger was joking, though he can certainly afford it.

well there's the end of that story... Tiger's made a statement saying 'it was his fault' and that he is not going to speak with the Florida Highway Patrol (in traffic incidents like this he is not required to by law) so no further details will be on the record etc.

Pretty smart move by Tiger et all.... I'm sure rumors will fly for a week or two, but then it'll all go away since there isn't much else to report.
