Press box and that side looks pretty nice. Kind of surprised that the stadium only seats 8k.

So the fact that they don't have any impact players.... should that concern us because they play solid all around as a unit, or make us feel more confident about another BSC title?

Technically we could probably just play "our game" for a half. Every conference game it seems some part of the team struggles in the first half, whether it be because of a lack of excecution or good gameplanning on their part.

And I'm not discounting Stony Brook, but the Big South (minus CSU) hasn't been able to keep up with us after halftime.

I'll be sure to pack my wind breaker on the BUS. 8)

FYI to all ... the usual Tuesday notes will be posted tomorrow morning. I still have another hoops story to write and I've been going since 8:30 this morning. Nothing huge came out of the press conference in terms of injury news.

Look for a story in tomorrow's N&A regarding the Flames' playoff hopes.

If SB hadn't choked to CSU this game would look a lot better then it really is... And it kind of sucks at this point because if we win we lock our third straight Big South title, but since we play bad teams in our division then it will go unnoticed till we get that auto-bid, which after looking at the gage of teams should the Big South even get an AB? I don't know it just seems that winning the BS three years in a row is nothing compared to getting that all elusive playoff position...so we need to be happy about getting this third championship, and for once not worry about those gosh dang playoffs... I'm getting off my soap box now!

Actually, sike.

This has been a pretty tough week with trying to get everything done ahead of Friday and the whole hoops-football collide, as Sly noted. Didn't get to anything extra today, but look for a story on Brandon Streeter and the LU offense in tomorrow's fishwrap. Will at least try to get the weekly picks up tomorrow.

Wish I could make the trip but I am heading to the other side of the State of NY. Kind of anticlimatic with their loss to CSU but it should be a good game.

So question....
Should we be more 'on edge' about this game than last weeks game? I mean, I know SB beat G-W, but are they really a better team? If so, how much better? I'm not too educated on SB, so naturally I don't know much of anything about them. I know we beat them 33-0 last year (had a blast at that game!), but have they improved that much since last year?

you can't compare our game against them last year. Their team didn't show up last year. SBU is better than GW as evidenced by them beating GW at GW. Also, GW always fades at the end of the year so it's not surprising they laid an egg in the 2nd half. I'm more on edge for this game than any other conference game since @ Coastal in 08. The travel, the team we're facing, the conference win streak we're on, etc. All these factors point to this game being close. I think we'll win, but wouldn't be surprised if it's not decided until the 4th quarter.

If we perform like we did at Chuck South, the Seawolves are capable of beating us soundly. If we play disciplined Liberty football without turning the ball over then we should win convincingly. I agree with jcmanson on the concerns.

That's great news about BJ ... bad news about Chris' travel adventures. Glad Chris, the bus and the charter flight eventually all made it to Long Island. perhaps we should've had manger take a break from his NBA life to give everyone some tips on Strong Island.
