Seems a little late to be snagging a commit to play this year, but then again I am very unfamiliar with softball. Just stumbled across this and figured I'd pass this along.

Sydnei Lester, an All-Region IV catcher at THS, signed a national letter of intent Wednesday to play at LU for Coach Paul Wetmore’s 2009-10 squad. Lester, one of the top honor students (3.9 GPA) at Tazewell, is excited about the chance to study and compete in Lynchburg.
