It could happen. That definitely does not mean that it will. If it bothers you, don't read it. :P

It doesn't bother me but I hate to ramp up the playoff train to get completely deflated again.

but if were the last ones in, wouldnt we (at this point) be going to richmond? and itll be during thanksgiving, but wouldnt it be better if in richmond since they already have less fans anyways? Plus we have quite a bit of alumni in that region, and Id say its closer, but i dont know how far app state is from lynchburg

I don't think Rocco jumps ship for UVA after going to the playoffs for the first time ever.

You don't want to go to App. Trust me. Not fun.

Just for clarification, this is not a prediction thread. This is a possible scenario that would pave the way for Liberty to claim one of three open spots for an at-large bid. Liberty must win each of their three remaining games. Eastern Washington has been added to the list since their playoff ban was removed. As Sly stated at the start of the thread, "That's a lot of dominoes that have to fall". After the first week (9), all 5 dominoes did fall.

Week 9 - 10/31/2009 (5 out of 5 took place)
Southern Utah over UC Davis
Montana over Weber State
Appalachian State over Furman
Illinois State over Missouri State
Maine over Massachusetts

Week 10 - 11/7/2009
UC Davis over Cal Poly (both teams have been eliminated and this game is irrelevant to Liberty's playoff hopes)
Youngstown State over Northern Iowa
Ole Miss over Northern Arizona -
Auburn over Furman
Western Illinois over Illinois State
Delaware over Hofstra

Week 11 - 11/14/2009
Navy over Delaware
Weber State over Northern Arizona
Texas State over McNeese State
Illinois State over Youngstown State
James Madison over Massachusetts
Southern Utah over Eastern Washington

Week 12 - 11/21/2009
Cal Poly over Weber State
Illinois State over Northern Iowa
Jacksonville State over Eastern Kentucky
Villanova over Delaware
Eastern Washington over Northern Arizona
Central Arkansas over McNeese State
Citadel over Georgia Southern
Southern Illinois over Missouri State

I dont think its that many dominos.

Liberty wins out
EWU loses 1 of 2
Montana State loses to Montana
James Madison wins out
Lafayette wins out

It would also be WONDERFUL if SE Lousiana beats SFA. That would eliminate a second Southland team and leave 2 open spots for the bubble teams

If these happen, combined with a FAMU loss for good measure, I can only see 7-4 Weber State and CCSU as competition for the last spot.

However we are peaking now, not at the end of the season... Like last year... yeah I know Presby kept us out, however if the Elon game was two weeks earlier...when it was the mad dash for the playoffs then maybe... but i hate "what ifs"
