I think one thing we can take from this, one thing that is improved about this team, is that we have a running game that finishes drives. Rashad, and we all love him, didn't do this very well. Al and SirChauncey do it very well. They have that nose for the end zone. And I like it, a lot.

Great game, proud to be a Flame, now get ready for the Keydets.

Great effort, though 100 yards of penalties was very disappointing. Beecher was pretty impressive today, including some great runs. Everything seemed to be clicking today.

[edit to add] I wish SirChauncy and Aldreakis had been able to break 100 today. They weren't far off!!

And we were 9 yards away from having two 100-yard rushers today.

In the future, they need to forget the costumes and show up in RED.
The costumes are actually what kept some of them here. There were some that were actually really good.

I missed the whole freakin thing.

I purposely avoided ANY media/sports reports to NOT find out the score.

I flew back home at 7PM to watch the game on JCTV

Instead, I got the "Carmen Halloween Special"

I think it's time for me to retire the "Stupid Hose" sig. I've been waiting for this for a year now.

Understatement of the year. Our fans flat out sucked today. 20 minutes before kickoff and we have like 10,000 fans there. By halftime there MAY have been 1,000. For a little drizzle?? Please...

Those of you reading this that left early, you suck.

First off, the team looked great. Wish they weren't have scored their 2 4th qtr TD's, but hey, beggers can't be choosers. Not that big of a deal.

Now, ATrain, this ticks me off. I understand weather wasn't the greatest thing, especially with a blowout like today. But let's be real folks. As a high school football player, when I looked to the stands, that motivated me. To know you have a large crowd behind you, when your losing, winning and even dominating is one of the greatest feelings. I can only imagine what that must feel like on a D-1 college level. If I played ball for Liberty and looked up in the stands to see (no joke) 8,000 people leave BEFORE HALFTIME, I would be ticked! It's a home game. LU fans should be there for the football team. They made the Student Center for those who want to just "hang out", so go to the Tilley. To see maybe, maybe 1,000 people in the stands at the end of the game tonight was embarrassing. I can understand a few thousand leave around half, especially when playing Presby, but to have 97% of the crowd peace out, pathetic . Even if it is Presby, or WVW, I think it's inexcusable. It's pathetic really. All I'm saying is if you were to work your tail off all summer and all camp, and you were the one with the shoulder pads on, and the helmet strapped on, you'd be extremely angry to see what we all saw tonight with the crowd. Those guys on the sideline don't work their butts off for just the team or a 1,000 loyal/die-hard fans, but the whole University/Alumni/anyone that reps LU. Not to be a downer, but that did tick me off, and I'm not even on the LU football team.

Other than that. Great game!

The players, during their postgame high-five trip thru the student section, thanked us for staying. And they were really amped about it, so it was pretty authentic. Which is why I stay. Because my classmates in pads and jerseys stay.

I have said I don't blame people for leaving early...especially after the JMU game. Not everyone is a LUnatic.

People who left in the 3rd and 4th quarter - I can understand.

People who left with four minutes in the 2nd quarter - they're an embarrassment and likely showed up late anyway.

:BS Unless you're already close to being sick can't exactly use that one as an excuse. People just didn't want to sit around and support their school. It's just not right. It wasn't freezing cold today either. If you and maybe 3,000 other people were the only ones that left, that's fine, but to have 13,000 peace before the 4th qtr is just wrong. Doesn't matter opponent, or weather condition (exceptions = tornado)

I arrived late (about midway through the second) after finishing up at LCA and it almost felt like the last couple home games of 2005 looking at both sides of the stadium in the second half.

If I had been there, I probably would have left before the 4th quarter. My in-laws' church had Trunk or Treat tonight, and I'd have taken the kids over (I'd have waited as long as we could have, of course). If not for that, I'd have stuck it out for the whole game - I've sat through (and marched in) worse.

I just think there is a lot of Crybaby and not a lot of :D after a win.

Let's not forget the real focus here. Liberty football. Not whether or not a bunch of kids in costumes stayed until Tyler Brennan came into the game...
