I think this is one of the best college website around and not just because I follow FSU. I have not found many sites that has a message board just committed to academics like FSU does.
Also when you are in the message board, there is a drop down for all the other ACC teams message boards as well as individual major schools. Also there you can find the high school message board for that individual states, FSU, Florida high schools, any of the VA message boards, VA high schools,NC messages boards, NC high schools. Enjoy your visit.

Warchant is OK but no better than most other major boards. I used to post regularly on there when I was running my recruiting site back 5 years ago or so.

I love when people say this about FSU like other schools around the country don't have their problems, and the ones that don't are covering things up, i think the only major college football school that may be in the clear...maybe...is Notre Dame...but then again they could be doing an amazing job covering things up....

ND has had a reputation for bringing in thugs for decades. But Free Shoes Unlimited just had a long string of offenses that were extremely visible. Truthfully, Miami has been much worse the past decade or so. But BK Bobby has a rep for looking the other way a la McCartney at Colorado prior to his PromiseKeepers career change.

I have to agree with Kaplan, William & Mary are getting the shaft on this one. The most illogical deductive reasoning ever by the NCAA. They should just come out and say that they don't want to kill the cash cow that is the FSU brand. Because W&M isn't as high profile in D1ABowl Division ticket sales, media revenue etc., the NCAA says nope to the two feathers...ridiculous. It doesn't matter, the tradition that W&M has is entrenched and they probably will always be known by that logo to the loyalists (and what a beautiful campus to boot.) Hey Kaplan, do you guys have any of your notable alumni laywers gathering a pack to take that bogus thing on? How about Sandra, does she have some fight still left in her?

When the NCAA decided to turn PC and forcefully remove all of the Indian references, the Seminole Tribe of Florida didn't just voice support for their name, they actually threatened to file a lawsuit against the NCAA. The Seminole tribe here in Florida has been apart of FSU since the beginning. They have maintained support for the school and there athletic program since then. While money is an issue, it is less of an issue for the schoola s it is for the Tribe. They profit off the name just as much or more than the school does. FSU could change their name and people would still go to games and they would still maintain a powerhouse status but the Seminole tribe would lose out on free name recognition. I know many people who are apart of the Seminole tribe of Florida who were outraged at the NCAA'a attempt to disallow the use of their name. Personally, I think this is just another instance of PC run Amuck. Most sports team names that are asociated with Indians are not meant to be nor even vaguely offensive. W&M's is not offensive and I don't see why the NCAA has to get all bent out of shape.

I believe that was among the reasons given when some of the bigger schools started a discussion on "why do we need this EXTERNAL organization called the NCAA, lets regulate our own sports"

I know its not gonna happen, but its an interesting concept- esp as the NCAA itself seems PC and $$$ driven.

FSU was also going to sue the NCAA over the name issue and would have if the NCAA had decided to go ahead with their PC.
