And the score is less than 4 TDs?

Well, good luck gentlemen.

You're going to need it..... 8)

Ok, digs aside. What was the mood of the game? Was Liberty holding back? Was SPC just not getting the plays?
I don't think they were holding back, they need a lot of work...but the rain was also a factor...games in weather like this tend to always turn into defensive battles....

I've NEVER been to a LU Football game that was as loud as that.

it was pretty loud....it was a pretty good crowd, imagine what the turn out would've been like if it wasn't freaking raining....it would've been great....lets hope next saturday will be great weather for a great turnout

It was sweet to see the players and coach Rocco come acknowledge the crowd at the end of the game.

I think LU does need a lot of work as mentioned above, not much offense for either team, the weather was horrible. The rain was just circling in the Williams stadium.

But our defense looked awesome and Jennings was as good as advertised.

The only negative were the fights in the stands at the end. Some knives were being flashed. And the chicken being thrown around. I caught one in the arm and the girl next to me got hit in the face and walked away crying.

Yes, there was. There were some extremely angry fans(?) from St. Paul that didn't take our ribbing very well. I looked over and all I heard was "Don't get killed" and people being escorted out.

I was next to 3 and one had a Cincinnati hat on, and my SLD went to shake hands cuz he's from Cincinnati and all he did was look at him and say "I from St. Paul." Idiots

I think SPC got past the 50 maybe once. We moved the ball, missed a couple field goals. I'm reserving judgement on most stuff until we can pass the ball. The only thing I can say is Rashad Jennings is a man, and Zach Terrell is the perfect player to compliment him.

Wynton Jackson as a return man is awesome.

Great crowd- even in the later quarters. Defense looked good and Terrell and Jennings ran well. Passing game will open up the running game even more.

Yes!!!! Great win, guys! Sweet way to start out the Rocco era. Let's hope that this is the first glimpse of what's to come.

There were some fights, I didn't see the knives but I trust TD. I know the SPC cheerleaders came back on the field and were talking smack to some people. The SPC players kept turning around and taughting LU students. One player put a water bottle down in his man region and acted like he was peeing, another squirted us with water, and one flicked us off.

On a side note, the new mascot is awesome.

I thought the new mascot was great also. I sat closer to the FOC and most of the time could not hear anything from the speakers, hopefully they will be putting some speakers on that end of the stadium. And on a sidenote, I think umbrellas should not be allowed at games. I had a good view until the guy two rows down opened his huge golf umbrella and had it high in the air. The funny thing was he had rain gear on.

There was a guy to my right who popped an umberlla and some worker came and made them close it up. BTW for Medic that was a nasty hit grieser put on that back. And both 42 and 51?(Kicker) needed a couple more doughnuts before the game

What happened to Manny Rojas? I was at the tunnel as they came in from half time and he was being helped to the locker room and certainly in a lot of pain. I don't recall seeing him play the second half.

From what I heard, one of the players side swiped his knee.

I thought umbrellas were illegal inside football stadiums in the Commonwealth. I know got drenched ten years ago at UVa for that reason.

Manny tweaked his knee, didn't play any of the second half, and was walking pretty good after the game. Here's to hoping things heal up overnight.

As for the PA, I don't think they used the rented one for tonight. We have a rented one right now (through next week) that's twice as good as the old one, then we're getting our own new one that's going to be a little better than the rented one. With the rain, I doubt they used the new one.

Like I said, I don't think that will be a problem anymore. With the new PA, we'll be able to understand them. I heard it Wednesday night.

My throat freaking hurts.
