GA was full but the $$ seats were about only about half full. I know several people who were scared off by the weather reports. These people are now dead to me.
Haha, I guess I didn't look around as much as I thought I did. I'm in section 5 and my row and the rows closest to me were as full as it's been all year.

My first game at Liberty in a long time. Dramatic improvements in all areas. We had a great time tailgating and was impressed with the amount of people tailgating around us. I saw why beecher didn't play after the NCST game last year. He is a good FCS qb, but would have gotten eaten alive against SEC competition. M. Brown is the real deal. He would start for a lot of FBS schools. Allen has a very bright future.

I would not be worried about Rocco leaving, but Streeter. It won't be long before the big boys come calling. He called a great game today. I hope Dabo Swinney is paying attention. I would love to have him as a QB coach and mold him into the OC position.

It is very obvious that long term we have no business being in the Big South. We are extremely well funded, organized and when the expansion is done in a few years we will have two stadiums that will compare with anyone in the FCS. Now is the time to start making some moves while we have momentum. I can't imagine if you told the Administration in Fifteen years we are still in the Big South they would be too excited.

Overall a very good day to be a Liberty Fan.

Pure domination in regard to the talent of the players on the field leads to scores like this. So, blame the coaches for not recruiting athletic or talented players, not for poor playbooks or play calling. Liberty's talent was simply superior to ours out there today.
Another comment from the Coastal board. He summed it up.

Alright.

Dominique Jones is a beast.

If the number one knock on Tommy is that he's soft (which was one of the things I doubted him on), he proved that wrong today. Putting a big block on their star DE (Oboh or whatever his name is), and throwing a perfect screen pass to Aldreakis while being body slammed proved to me that he is, in fact, here to play, and is more than capable of dominating Big South conference defenses.

Aldreakis, yeah, he's good. What we saw in the WVU game has finally translated into a full game.

Kajaun (spelling) Lee had a VERY good game. He is a solid corner.

We had 30 first downs. We had 300 rushing yards. We dominated this football game. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Keep this momentum going and let's run through the Big South just like we did two years ago.

Liberty reaffirms Big South dominance with huge second-half spurt

By Josh Hoke - jhoke@thesunnews.com

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Coastal Carolina defensive backs Josh Norman and Brandon Autry wrapped their arms around Liberty tailback Aldreakis Allen at the 4-yard line.

The two Chanticleers had the upper hand, but while they were trying to strip the ball, Allen kept plowing ahead and eventually carried both of them into the end zone. The third-quarter touchdown opened the floodgates in Liberty's 58-13 win Saturday.

It was a fitting snapshot of Coastal's day. No matter what the Chants did, the Flames simply overpowered them.

"That's not a heartbreaking loss," Coastal coach David Bennett said. "That's an embarrassing loss."

So are we gonna lay off the Tommy Beecher vs Mike Brown talk for now? Beecher played rather well (missed a couple deep throws but nothing glaringly bad) and certainly showed some toughness out there...and yeah he didnt have any TD passes but yesterday the running backs and the defense starred and really we didnt need to try to score through the air. Mike only threw one pass (on the reverse to Summers) and definitely showed that his legs are probably his biggest and best weapon at this point.

Beecher needs to learn how to throw the ball away when there's nobody open and the pass protection is breaking down. He's always getting hit in the head because he tries to scramble for a couple yards instead. Better to lose a down instead of gaining 2 yards at the price of his 50th concussion.

I trust the coach...and have no real problem with beecher being in there as qb...but there is nothing wrong with questioning rocco from time to time...I love rocco, but it would be ridiculous for a whole message board to just shut up and not ever question the man....

i still think mike is the better all around qb...the touchdown strike he threw while being leveled showed that...but beecher is a fine option right now..we still have 2 years to see mike...as long as we keep winning it doesn't really matter...but a harmless debate makes message boards fun

i think beecher proved that he deserves to be the starter, he is going to eat BSC defenses alive through the air. granted he didnt have a TD, but he did have some bombs and had some of the best blocks i have ever seen by a QB (especially one who has had as many concussions as he has)

beecher or brown i think its a win win right now and as long as we keep winning just let them play

While we're armchair coaching, I'd like to see Mike throw as a running back be somewhat of a regular thing as opposed to that being some kind of trick play. I think if we did that, the secondary has to stay back and we'd see him running for huge chunks of yards instead of using his unexpected throw for 1 big play.

One play to substantiate the all-around superiority of one QB over another. That's fine judgment.

haha...read other things i have said...I obviously base it on more then just that..I am fine with beecher at QB, i just think Mike is better...but he does so many other things well to help the team and has 2 more years..so its not really that big of a deal to me
