Just a thought, let those who don't want to shower room with same type of students. I know that may not fly but it is a thought. One of my roommate's friend visited the campus and had feet problem, it was terrible. When his friend would come in the room, I had to leave.

When you have a roomate that stinks up the room, you pretty much have to get physical with them if they refuse to change IMO. We had a guy on our hall like that and after complaining to RA's and to the student himself for a long period of time, they dumped him in the shower. We told him it would be a daily thing and to please complain to the RA's and RD's. His roomates begged him to have them walk into the room and take a giant smell. It actually worked and the guy began washing his clothes regularly (I think he worked at Marriot) and himself. After dragging him harshly the first few times, he began to realize that it was easier to be like everyone else. That is the best advice I can give. It sounds inhumane, but they really were nice about it for a while.

I was on the cross country team with a couple of guys from Kenya. One learned quickly the power of soap, but the other couldn't seem to find that product in Wal-Mart. We all ran in a "Flying V" behind him on the trails/roads to avoid being downwind of the smell (which greatly increased our chances of getting hit by JF).
