As she was getting up to serve, they showed the graphic on the screen (for the FTN broadcast) and everybody applauded (and I think the LUnatics had a chant) and all she could do was crack a smile and laugh a bit (I think she was slightly embarrassed). I found that funny but notable
the funniest moment was when they were stretching. we had a kallie corbin chant and got her to crack up.
it made me realize this year is going to be really amazing haha

I want to point something out about this tournament that should give anyone who reads this a new respect for our athletic department:
A very, very large amount of this tournament was pulled off by Liberty Athletics student workers. With most of the athletics staff gone to West Virginia (read: all but three people), our student workers did this tournament. Most schools have trouble running a tournament with their entire athletics department there. I just think that says a ton about the professionalism of our department and how they're training up the students to be able to do these types of things when they graduate and go looking for jobs.
I have to agree with who said that as soon as Bacon went down- the team's morale as a whole suck somewhat. This makes a lot of sense though since she is such a key part of the team's leadership especially in terms of motivation on the court. I hope she gets well soon and she is able to pound down some kills in the next few weeks! When she gets back on the court, I think the team will have a new sense of urgency and morale about that. Lookin' forward to it!
Have you tried the "hot pocket hot pocket" it' a hot pocket filled with a hot pocket, tastes just like a hot pocket!

Officially,
Paul Carmany is not replacable by a student worker. It's unreal how much he did over the tournament.
We all take for granted the stuff that entire office does until you actually see what their workload is. It impressed me when I first found out a few years ago and seeing those guys on a regular basis it's insane all the stuff they do.

I cannot possibly agree more. It takes a long time to prepare to broadcast a game. Paul does an absolutely amazing job of getting me information as soon as possible and keeping me updated on any changes that may ocurr. His hard work makes my job a little easier. I really need to send him a birthcard this year!
