So i logged onto Fandango.com and see this theater ( the new one being constructed by the mall ) as an option but no movie times listed yet.

Has anyone heard a date on the exact opening or any other info? I found the link from Regal but no real information.

Sometimes certain movies are worth seeing in a quality venue with stadium seating and proper sound. It doesn't happen often for me, but it does happen sporadically.

I don't think the dollar theater will ever being showing anything in 3D. And that's the future. Although watching it not in 3D is also fine.

I will gladly pay ten times the price to not have to deal with that experience. Besides, if I haven't seen it by the time it's at Movies 10, I can just wait for the DVD. The home viewing experience is darn close to superior these days anyway.

I hope not - I hate 3D. 3D movies aren't as clear and sharp - and it's not worth giving that up for a few objects popping out.

I hate 3D, but not because of clearness or sharpness - I'd prefer to see directors and whatnot spend the time on making a good movie rather than spending their time on some silly and worthless special effects like 3D. Plus I don't want to have to wear some retarded 3D glasses for a movie either. Those short like 10-15 minute films you see at theme parks like Busch Gardens and other similar types of films are fine, but for an actual feature length movie it's just dumb.

Dude, you just told us you never go to the real movies so its obviously been a long time since you've seen a 3d movie. Its not something a director HAS to spend any time thinking about. Its just special cameras they use and it gives you depth in the background.

Yep. Almost everything Disney releases will now be in the new Dolby 3D DC format and it's not the old blue/red crap like before.

I will say that I'm not a huge fan of wearing the glasses and that I've only seen one movie in the new format. It was kinda cool, though.

yes, if they'd ever put a movie theater somewhere OTHER than on the bus line, i'd pay $15/ticket+ heck, maybe even $20. and i bet a lot of other people would too.

I'll have to keep that in mind. I was out in that area of the state and in Chincoteague back in June but going to the movies wasn't on the mind for vacation at the time.
