soundtracks - one of the most underrated apsects of a movie. so what is everyone's favorite movie soundtrack?
I'm going with the fountain, requiem for a dream, juno, garden state (the frou frou song at the end is awesome), and Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait

Uh, you left Top Gun off your list, but I'll forgive this transgression if you acknowledge your mistake.

One of my favorite soundtracks/scores in a movie is from Friday Night Lights. All the backing music was done by Explosions in the Sky (from Texas), and it just meshes perfectly with the Texas landscapes in that movie.

Are we going non-instrumental? Because they're 2 totally different discussions.

Curse of the Black Pearl, Transformers the Score 1 & 2, The Patriot, Rudy, Gettysburg, Braveheart, LOTR, Star Wars...

Actually, some video games have great soundtracks as well & are available on iTunes.

Medal of Honor: European Assault, MOH: Frontline, MOH: Underground, SOCOM, Age of Empires III

Following the same timeline as Zack, add in St. Elmos Fire and the Breakfast Club. Personally I leaned more toward Fast Times at Ridgemont High and the Lost Boys.

the truman show has a pretty good soundtrack, at least for my tastes. Explosions in the sky is a great band, their stuff and the truman show are great to have in my ipod when im studying/reading.

If Fumble were still around, I'm sure he'd make some joke about WVU fans loving the dueling banjos soundtrack from Deliverance.

Goodfellas and Casino -- Scorsese knows how to make a film soundtrack.

Also, I'll add Forrest Gump and second the guy who said 'Almost Famous'.

I know the words to every Lion King song. Does that count?

Now: Titanic. Yeah, I said it.

Also, August Rush. Can't believe no one mentioned that one yet.
