I'm starting them today on the blog. Running backs up first, already posted. Receivers tomorrow. Continuing throughout the next week or so. Check often!

BUMP

Lang's preview in Monday's fishwrap:

http://www2.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/ ... hey/19045/
At tailback, Liberty won’t find one player to replace Jennings, the Big South’s all-time leading rusher. Rocco said he’ll utilize a committee featuring the strengths of the players he has on the roster — B.J. Hayes (speed), Aldreakis Allen (power, pass-catching ability) and Danny Broggin (inside running).
This is the first that I've heard of Adreakis Allen. And no mention of SirChauncey. Can someone who has been to practice comment on Allen? How did he leapfrog over so many backs to become our #2 option as halfback? (paging Super or BJ...)

And if you live locally, you really should buy a paper today, because they have a full-page spread about our team.

If you haven't read about Aldreakis Allen then you haven't been paying attention to Lang's blog or the articles on LibertyFlames.com. He's been a stand out this camp.

Jons right...Allen has a chance to be an absolute freak by the time he is a senior. Terron though a serviceable back, I dont think he was going to be a feature runner...anyway I think with Allen, and Holloway and Broggin and Hayes in the backfield we're gonna be giving defenses a lot to think about

Thanks, Super & BJ. Here's a quote from Lang's earlier blog about our running backs:
Another player to watch is Aldreakis Allen (6-0, 210, Fr.), who spent more time in high school as a receiver than as a tailback. But he’s made an immediate impression on the coaching staff and is a candidate for early playing time.

“He’s been a pleasant surprise, because he’s a load. He came out of high school at about 205 (pounds), and he’s 226 now. He’s got a great attitude. He has a lot of skills. He can catch the ball. He can block. He runs with power. He runs with speed. He’s got good vision. He’s a good football player. It’s just his inexperience, snaps, what does it take on this level to get it going? I think he’s going to be a real good player.“

In the 2009 media guide, I couldn't find a single paragraph on Allen, though he is listed on the media guide's roster.
Coaching changes

It appears your intel was on the mark.
