This would be a bigtime get from down here in my corner of the world:

Image
Tolu Omotola
6' 3" Forward
Sugar Land (TX) Dulles High School

AAU: Houston Heat (Same team as recent signee Rachel McLeod)
Hoopgurlz May 25th Report wrote:Tolu Omotola, a 6-foot-3 forward out of Dulles High School in Texas, has been named to the Nigerian Senior Women's National Team. Omotola, who plays club ball for the Houston Heat, is a 2008 prospect. Born in England, Omotola moved with her family to the U.S. when she was 7. She averaged 10.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks for Dulles last season. Omotola's top schools of interest include Miami, Liberty, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Tulsa. She's interested in pursuing a degree in psychology.

And here is another item I scrounged up:
Tolu Omotola of Houston has been invited to participate with the Nigeria Basketball Federation's Under-19 Women's National Team. Omotola will be one of the youngest players on the Nigerian National Team, which plans to compete in the Under-19 World Championships July 11-24 in Serbia and the All-Africa Games which will start July 5 in Algiers. Even though she was born in London and lives in Texas, Omotola qualifies because both of her parents are Nigerian.

Can a Nigerian former LU football player in Texas chat her up about LU without that being an NCAA recruiting violation?

Samkon and this girl are both in Houston. I believe the Nigerian National Womens Team also trains here from time to time (as do the men with Juice on the squad).

I don't understand this quote. Are your quotes infering that she is not a girl?

Perhaps he meant "sisters." From previous discussions as we have tip-toed around the topic...I would agree 100%, if that is what he is implying.

that makes more sense. I've never heard "girls" as a term to specifically mean "black girls" before. Sisters on the other hand...

Hopefully Sam doesn't talk her into coming because that's an NCAA violation.

And Samkon is now in Florida so this was a non-factor in her decision to become a frog.
