The Liberty volleyball team has been chosen first in the Big South Conference’s annual preseason poll, as voted by the league’s head volleyball coaches. The coaches also voted the Lady Flames’ senior setter, Kallie Corbin, the Big South Preseason Player of the Year, as announced today by the Big South office.
Well, respect is always hard earned. After two seasons of winning we get the #1 spot. Congratulations to the coaches and the players.
It also speaks well of coach Pinder's program to have 3 LU players on the Preseason All-Conference Team. Note: Liberty should have had 4 players on the team (Karyl Bacon had better stats than some of the others girls selected).
Warning: Crazy Idea Ahead
I think the team needs to wear red practice t-shirts with a "target" image on the back. On the front it would say. "Yes, I know what's on my back. My hard work in practice, desire to win every point in a match, and deep belief that my teammates and I can beat any body, put it there."
Go Liberty!!! Bring on the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So pretty much half our starting squad was first team and EVERY coach in the BSC picked us first....haha that had to be tough for some of them!

Too bad Joel moved on from Winthrop...yelling "Sit Down whoever" just isn't the same as "Sit down Joel"
Joel recruited Nicki really hard. When he asked her where else she was looking, she told him Liberty. He said, "Then we will beat you.". Since Nicki has been at LU, it's LU 4 WU 1. I think he knew he was going to be wrong.

I personally love the idea.
