Wise Lineman Picks Up First Offer

With linebacker Titus Till already committed to Maryland, Wise Coach DaLawn Parrish is working on landing his other players college scholarships. He reports that tight end-defensive end Rahsaan Moore (6-2, 235) recevied his first offer yesterday from Liberty. With many key players returning from last season's Maryland 4A South Region championship team, expect the Pumas to have several players getting college interest and leading the charge to another postseason appearance.

Opposing coaches may know his name, but Wise's Rahsaan Moore could be the best-kept secret in Maryland high school football.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound junior plays the defensive line for head coach DaLawn Parrish and helped lead the Pumas to their first-ever playoff berth last season.

"He's the best football player on the team. When you're talking straight football. He's the one," Parrish said. "If you ask any of the coaches that we play who the best [player on Wise] is, they'll say Rahsaan or Titus [Till]. What makes him like that? He's 6-2, 230, plays D-end, we can move him to D-tackle or tight end. He does it all. He's just like Titus except he's bigger."

Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise defensive end Rahsaan Moore is sitting on eight scholarships. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder holds one from a Division I school, but a number of other colleges are very interested as well.
