I caught the last 15 minutes on IPTV while I was working on the news for the radio...Man the boys buckled down especially after Spain dialed up the pressure following the Dempsey goal

nice. This has got me super pumped for next summer. If football season wasn't in between now and then I wouldn't know what to do with myself. This whole tournament success is no doubt just setting us all up for disappointment in the form of not getting past group play.

I agree LUconn. They are pretty good at setting us up for disappointment ala 94 and 98 World Cups when the media baptized them the best American teams ever.

Amazing game! Got home and just watched my recording of the game. The U.S. played their best soccer in recent memory. This is the second time in U.S. history they beat the number 1 team in the world. Great play by everyone (for the most part). Hopefully we can keep this going for Sunday's game. No matter if we win or lose it will be our best finish in this type of tournament ever.

I was in a meeting for a portion of this game and was following it on ESPN mobile. They completely had the score backwards and even the scoring in the play by play said Spain. But the PxP blogger kept mentioning the "upset" that was happening, but I kind of disregarded that even though it had me puzzled. I actually got out of the meeting really mad and flipped the game on and was just blown away at what was going on.

I was at work during the game. I got a call about an hour ago. WOW! what an awesome game I can't wait to watch it on DVR. i saw some highlights on ESPN and it looked like Bradley's red was bogus but whatever. Bring on Brazil!

We announced it during dinner at camp and actually had a lot of kids cheer. The surprising thing is they knew who Dempsey, Altidore, and all those guys are.
