Ahead of Longwood... (who by the way got beat by Savannah St. a few weeks ago. I forgot to bring that up as it's embarrassing) RPI, it's a crazy thing

Winthrop at 81
BSC at 140
Radford at 186
High Point at 188
CSU at 250
CCU at 253
UNCA at 255
VMI at 305

Luckily we've got 4 home games in a row here. Let's make the most of it.

Right now, we're at the bottom of a bottom conference, so fair enough. After we win a few at home, this will change.

Frankly the RPI is the least of our concerns. It only comes in play if you are up for an at large (which we obviously are not right now) or for seeding int he tourney. At this point we'll be thrilled to be in the Play-in game if we make a big run at the Big South Tourney.

At least the conference has moved up a bit...Right now, the Big South ranks 23rd out of 31 conferences...not great by any means, but better than normal.

Thanks for that info. It's good to hear. BTW, I always enjoy your perspective as a member of the "enemy" camp. I seem to remember some Christian comments from you from time-to-time as well, and (if I'm correct in my musings) that is good to hear as well.

Thanks

Wow, guys it's been a very long time but I love the new board, what's been up Scar, Sly, LuConn, and PAmedic. I will try to register asap. Looks like a very long season, (One that I was shamefully apart of not too long ago).

Welcome back FormerPlayer! You need to register quickly before some other guy gets that name. That way I know who I am talking to and where you are coming from when you post your opinion (as it will be highly regarded). We missed you on here. Glad you found the site. You baby boy hasn't accidently dialed my cell phone in a while :D. When you register, PM me and let me know what you have been up to lately!

Former player, did you ever tell anybody who you were? I remember it was a mystery but I can't remember if we ever solved it.

Some of us figured it out pretty easily but no one has outed him. I know I outed someone during homecoming in the fall but I can't remember who it was. All I know is that Medic called me on it :D.

I too inadvertantly outed someone on here who just about everybody knew. I'll try not to make the same mistake again.

Formerplayer -- I've missed my Houston compadre on here. TJ was in town last night and Daniel is having a terrific season for the Clips. The other sports producer at my station went to Willowridge about the same time as you by the name of Maurice May. Houston hoops is unbelievably good this winter with the best of Houston & New Orleans all playing for H-town high schools together. If you have any trouble getting registered & signed in, let me know. I've got some pull around this board. 8)

Sly, TJ went over to Willowridge last week I actually talked to him yesterday, and Daniel is playing pretty well but now that Shaun Livingston is back his playing time has diminished. I heard Hightower has a guard from New Orleans that's pretty good. Scar I remember my son would always call your phone, I will give you a call I moved to MD recently. Sly, I'm trying to get down to Houston for the aAll star events, I was there for New Year's. I don't want to keep my identity a mystery any longer drum roll please lol. Naw just kidding guys I'm Chris Caldwell from Houston,Tx attended the best B-Ball school in the state, (Willowridge High School) at least I think so LOL. Scar has known for the longest time and I think Sly has as well. I appreciate all the love and some of the hate from all of you guys. I will try my best to post daily later.

What's up Chris? My freshman year was in 02-03. The year after you had graduated. I remember that the only good thing people had to say about the men's team was that they had a great player in Chris Caldwell. Anyways, hope all is going well, and I am glad to hear that there are former players out there in full support of the team.

Chris Caldwell. We met one time. My dorm won some game at midnight madness so we got to have some kind of pizza party with the team in the Vines. We played knockout. Good times.

If people didn't know who you were by now they weren't paying much attention on the old board. Sorry I missed you while you were down here. We talked to TJ the day before his game at Toyota Center.

If you do make it down for the All-Star festivities, give me a shout. I'm credentialed and I'm definitely there at least some of the fun when I'm not working.

Now we need to get GOAT on here and we'll have the Texas posse intact.

For those of you too young (or too new). CC is one of the great competitors and gentlemen.

gentlemen? I remember his senior year, it was dead silent in the Vines Center (not unusual for that season  ) and he yelled out something after a bad play. It wasn't quite clear, but it sure sounded like an F bomb and he was definatly frustrated. I always heard rumors that the Dean of Men gave him reps for that. (maybe if we're nice enough, he'll tell us if that's true) Anyway, funny anecdote aside, he seemed like a really nice guy off the court.

The sad state of our program, when the dean of men watch the game for oppurtunities to give reps.

There is some truth to that, just so happen my father was at that game and we had a sit down with the deans. That was tatally uncalled for: a dean trying to hand out reps at a b-ball game. I was a nice guy off the court ask Scar.

Well yeah, I had always thought you were. That frustrated noise that came out of your mouth that day was just the collision of one of the best players in LU history with one of the worst teams in LU history. It was the perfect storm.
