Sam Rutigliano was the coach of the Cleveland Browns. The mother of a current porn star worked as an office assistant to the Cleveland Browns when Rutigliano was coach.
That's the link the columnist made, never mind the fact that the "actress" was, oh, five years old when Sam left for Liberty. It's a complete non-story. It's an excuse for a website to show pictures of hot women.
Like I said earlier, you shouldn't expect any more from modern sports discussions.
On the other hand, it's rather convenient. There is a direct correlation between how bad a sports radio station or sports website sucks and the amount of coverage of "babes" on the front page of its website, or how frequently that topic comes up in conversation.
I dealt with it when I worked for a local ESPN Radio affiliate, and when I was looking for jobs a year-and-a-half ago, I was going to apply to one station... until I saw that its webpage advertised a 'babe of the day'. I refuse to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
