I didn't think Georgia folks ever referred to being in the "Union".

Last year I flew to Augusta to see the Masters. Outside of Augusta National, my memory of Augusta is jaded by my taxi ride experience to the hotel. The taxi driver started smoking as we left the property against my request. She was a large woman with a lot of tattoos. She charged me $85.00 for the 12-minute shuttle. Welcome aboard 2000.

Without the National we would be Macon, sorry Macon.

Sherman burned quite a bit of Georgia I hear. My brother lives in Atlanta, and so does a friend. Parts of Georgia smell like sulfur. Fort Benning is in Georgia I believe. I once went to 4 Braves games in a row in the old Fulton County Stadium while staying in a campground with family. They grow Peaches in Georgia. Atlanta motor speedway is backwards from how it used to be.

That's all I've got.

You got jokes? Atlanta is also responsible for chick-fil-a, Coca-cola, Home depot, and many other fun stuff. The leading crop is pecans not peaches. Nice try though South carolina grows more peaches than georgia. I've lived here all 22 years of my life and sat in fulton county stadium watching the 91 braves as a 5 year old watching sid bream round 3rd in the NLCS to single handedly dismantle the pirates franchise. haha

Liberty alumna, class of 2008; English major

Did SGA in 2005-06 and Sigma Tau Delta in 2006-08

Probably won't say too much, not having much access to the games, and beyond that I'm not that well versed in sports - but I'm always looking to connect with Liberty alumni!

Lord have mercy that's an interesting board name.

Welcome aboard. You may end up participating more than you think. This place can be addictive, and one of the things that sets it apart is that it is NOT just for discussion of sports. Check out the "Courtyard" and "Lynchburg Life" forums.
