If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

When a Florida player was arrested last week for punching a man after trying to enter the victim's apartment, a Miami fan wondered why Urban Meyer wasn't being questioned about his 23rd player being arrested in four years.

Maybe everyone is blinded by the rings on his hand during press conferences?

Being a northern transplant..... I'd be remiss if I didn't throw some fuel on the fire and drop the obligatory 'traditional academic school argument.' i.e. its the SEC what do you expect? :) Not saying I agree with the stereotype as a whole, because obviously there are some solid academic schools outside of the Big Ten, Pac-10, Ivy league etc....but, there are merits to the argument that when you let *anyone* into school just because they are athletic....you run the risk of off the field incidents.

And just to get out in front of some of the arguments i already see coming, think about it for a bit....What schools have had problems in recent years? FSU (apparently UF?), USC, my beloved OSU (a few years back with clarett and a few others), LSU, etc. .... When is the last time you saw a story like this about Michigan, Northwestern, North Carolina?

RichRod's working on it. Butch didn't exactly have the most stand up guys at the U either. Give it a little bit.

I love my Gators, but two things:

1. Out of the 23 arrests, how many exactly led to convictions?

2. Out of the convictions, how many of those players are on the team still? Very few, if any.

At least Meyer isn't like Bowden hiding behind a Bible while breaking every rule in the book.

Amateurs. David Bennett had 40% of that number over the course of one season.
