ToTheLeft wrote:("Clear Path Foul when Rafer was in front of him? Please...)You've mentioned that twice. One time and I'll shrug it off as a person complaining because it's his team. Twice and I'm gonna refute it. There was a clear path had James gotten past Rafer. When the foul was called, James was in the process of getting past Rafer meaning he had a clear path. He hadn't gotten past him yet, but had Rafer not fouled him, he easily would have.

It's like in soccer when there's one man going to the goal with one defender to beat. While he was going around the defender, the defender fouls him. That's why the defender gets a red card. That's why there was the foul called tonight.
Clear Path to the Basket: If a fast break starts in a team’s backcourt and a defender fouls any offensive player when the team is going to score an easy basket, a clear path foul has occurred. When the foul happens, no defender can be ahead of the ball where he could defend against the easy basket. From NBA.com
