I volunteered my services and saved lives last night into the ungodly hours of the morning. Then I slept, and it was good, followed by hanging out with friends, and it was great.

Camped out at a state park. We grilled over a grate in a fire pit. Tasty.

And before some of you ask, the best I could determine we were using Live Oak. The park had just cleared some land and was giving out firewood for free.

Sly... That is by far, the best way to do corn on the cob. I love it on the grill.

This isn't about grilling, so that means I'm hijacking this thread.

Here's a pretty sweet Memorial Day photo essay from the Boston Globe. They do a really good job with these.

Down in Mexico it is a delicacy and they sell roasted corn on the street corners like we do hot dogs stands. They usually sprinkle powdered pepper of some kind such as cayenne on it to flavor it up even more. I love it.

It is your choice. They usually have melted butter they pour over it if you like. I like.
