While I will admit the odds are long on a kid this highly rated coming to LU, I would definately consider it more likely than him having a legitimate CURRENT offer from Kentucky. By that I mean an offer from Cal, not Billy Clyde.

The fact that he is or was home schooled and knows Jesse and JC would definately weigh in our favor.

You Radford fans. You're so clever. UK will remove their offer, and does he even know anyone at Marquette now that Layer's gone? So there's KSU who hasn't offered, Texas A&M which would be a good choice, and Utah. I see no reason why we couldn't snag 1 recruit away from these schools.

You're making a whole lot of assumptions. Do you any sort of concrete information that shows he is even interested in LU? I mean sure the guy who was recruiting him is now your coach but who knows why he was/is interested in Marquette...maybe he likes their uniforms. Point being, at this time of year looking at the 2010 recruits I think there is a lot of grasping going on. I see it on the Winthrop boards where they are getting excited about guys that they are looking at who are pulling offers from the larger conferences. Feel free to dream away, I'm just trying to look at it realistically.

The kid is coming from Texas to visit our campus knvb141. I think that indicates there is at least a modicum of interest on his part.

I do know that he was in town.

In my opinion with any recruit, the further away you get from the visit, the less of a chance you have. So lets hope to hear something soon.

I dunno, I would bet that guy has connections with Coach, if he's been working the MWC for very long... and even if not, he had a story about Longwood's coach, so maybe he has some random connection to Virginia...
