Yeah, they took my boy Gartrell from CSU. Bigger, Stronger, and Slower than Rashad... must've been what they wanted.

Ced Peerman hasn't gone either, and he was rated as a mid 3rd rounder by some sites.

Javon Ringer was a respectable college player, as well, and he's still on the board.

Gartrell is probably more of a fullback type, to be honest. Might have been what the Bolts were looking for.

Don't they still have Mike Tolbert? I thought he filled that role well for them last year.

Fullbacks will disappear in college football imho because of the spread offense that is being implemented by most programs.

The Chargers' backfield is just plain weird now.

They have LT and Sproles, of course.

They also have Mike Bennett, speed demon who can't break a tackle.

and then they have Jacob Hester, Mike Tolbert, and Gartrell Johnson.

Three bigger guys who lack much speed...

Not sure what the plans are for all of them.

I think you're going to see a lot of hybrid players in the future -- fast RB's who can play wide out (like a Zach Terrell type), TE's who can run the ball... and the 'Wildcat Offense' is only going to contribute to this.

Take the best punter in the draft.

It's really not that big of a deal. 5th round is typically when special teamers start to go off the board, and Huber is extremely good.
