From the video:
"I refused to answer their questions..."
Mistake #1. Dude was actively looking to get beat down and the whole "I'm a helpless victim" rant bears that out.

when they were tasering him, he was asking them "why?"..."what did I do?"........if I were the agent, I would have said, "I refuse to answer that question."

From his website. I kid you not.

"Why Bible College is Unscriptural and Wrong"

"But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ." - Matthew 23:8-10

A perfect example of the fact that Bible colleges are completely patterned after worldly institutions is their "Masters" degree program. In an effort to perfectly mirror worldly schools, Bible colleges will confer titles such as "Master of Divinity," "Master of Education," and "Master of Pastoral Theology" upon their graduates. This is a clear violation of the teaching of Jesus Christ that such titles are off limits and belong solely to him.

I personally, found that to be his best work. It was more invasive that I expected. He didn't beat around the bush. He drove right into a hot topic.

If anyone ever was in need of a tazing, it was this guy.

I don't know if Cider or Sly were around on the Fundie Forums when he was there, but this guy is a total, complete, 100% wingnut. He admits to worshiping the Bible because "Jesus is The Word, and the Word is the Bible." First time I ever saw everyone on that forum agree that someone was off his rocker.

You can tell he never went to Bible college by the way he mishandles the Bible. He's against Bible colleges because he could never get into one. He's one of those "preachers" who I wish would stop calling themselves Baptist, because they're an embarrassment to themselves and to the cause of Christ. He's an extremist whackjob.

I think the border patrol crossed the line, but he went there asking for it - you can tell because he filmed one entire encounter with them; he was prepared for trouble, and wants to be a martyr. Given his track record, I have a really hard time feeling sorry for him.

I'm on Blackberry and can't see the videos. But if this is the guy who had the video posted on the FFF a few years ago then I know who you all are talking about. And when some of the Fightin' Fundies think you are nuts by their standards then you must be certifiable.

Not setting a good example for 'pastors' is he? Good thing I'm not a LEO, I would have busted his window and tasered him about 45 seconds in....and I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy :D

Just watching that video you can tell he has completely lost his mind, unless he didn't have a mind in the first place, and you can't lose what you do not have...

Same guy. Seems like he started posting over there right before I quit, so it's been at least two years. He hasn't gotten any smarter.

This guy has been messing with Border Patrol and Homeland Security for a while now. His videos are everywhere.

I have very mixed feelings about him.

He is a nut. He definitely brings it on himself. He definitely acts like a jerk.

However, if you can get past his jerkiness, he does have some valid points. For example, in the latest video of his that I watched he was stopped a border checkpoint 100 miles from the border. 100 miles. These are now all over the U.S. and when you're at one of these checkpoints the government currently says your constitutional rights do not apply. Whether or not this guy is a jerky nut, that's messed up.

I don't disagree with the earlier assessments of probable cause, but probable cause is vague in court because it's so easily titled in favor of the police. "Am I suspected of a crime officer?" "Your left rear brake light is damaged." "What? No it's not" *smash* "It is now." Game over.

I very much disagree with the sentiment that you should "just cooperate" with the police and do whatever they ask you too. Medic may come in here and hit me over the head with his baton, but I'll stand by it. If a police officer approaches, there is nothing for you to do but ask if you are being detained or if you're free to leave. Answering questions, freely granting searches, etc. may make you feel cooperative and nice, but there's a reason you have the rights that you do. I'll deal with the hassle and my attorney before I'll let someone walk on my rights. If a corrupt uniform of some sort chooses to abuse me over it, then so be it.

sorry people don't want them mexicans in our country and this is the bs they've supported under the bush regime. now when it effects them, there is a problem.

as for the smashing the taillitght, this isn't the movies....stuff like that happening is so rare its not even an issue. .1% of cops give the other 99.9% a bad name. in the end, they had probable cause, he refused and they dealt with the issue. in the 1st clip he says into the camera "THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE TRUNK" making him look like a total retard. Cops have the crappiest job in the world and are constantly dealing with the butthole of society day after day, most aren't goign to hassle some schmoe just for the hell of it, there is always some sort of probable cause.

did they have to use a tazer, who knows, all we see is his side of the story, and the guy is a maniac. we have proof of that. nobody is saying "just cooperate" with cops at least i'm not. the problem is that 99% of us don't know jack chit about the law and what cops are actually able to do. everyone watches law and order and thinks they know their rights, they don't. i got a ticket like 4 years ago and i went on the worst possible day to contest it. i had to wait and listen to case after case for 4 hours of these guys saying, "this is my right" or "they violated my rights" and the judge basically correcting each and everyone of them.

i am completley against the "no constitution" zone and have been since its been in place. but guess what, its the law now...because enough of these tards exist:

This guy has been causing them problems for a long time now. He needs to be stopped each and every time due to his history IMO. It would be like a 5 time drunk driver complaining about being pulled over. Although he has never been caught with anything, he routinely puts up a fight and that is suspicious enough to warrant a search for me. IMO, he is the last guy that should be complaining about be checked. He has basically dared them to check him, and they are calling him on it every time now.

In this case he should have "just cooperated". These guys are just trying to do their job at a checkpoint, which as we've established, it totally legal. They stop you, glace around for any suspicion, ask you a couple questions and send you on your way. And this toolbag won't even roll down his window. I bet it would have been a 30 second stop if he had just simply rolled it down. But he obviously wanted to push them until they were forced to do a lot more. He's like a giant 7 year old.

Those two sentences are why, as big of a jerk as he is, I'm still with the guy for the most part. "Just trying to do their job" doesn't justify anything at all when what they're doing is not Constitutional. I don't care if you're the low man on the totem pole. If what you're doing isn't right, get a new job.

It has not been established that it's totally legal. "Border checkpoints" nowhere near borders, on American soil where American citizens are told they no longer have constitutional rights are very much a gray area. Customs areas have long been "Constitution free" zones because they're not technically in America. These border checkpoints are jokes and shouldn't exist.

I don't care how easy it would be just to cooperate. You give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile. This should no be happening and, crazy or not, I'm glad someone is bugging them about it.

Boooo laying down for the government. If you're a citizen inside U.S. borders you should never be stopped without probable cause. They're stopping plenty of other people that aren't this guy for no good reason. It's not right.
