Hey don't get me wrong, I hope radford is "the favorite." It's always more interesting when everyone is gunning for the other guy. So, for what it's worth, they can have it. I would rather teams focus on Radford and Winthrop during the offseason, and overlook LU.

But, we'll have to wait and see which stengths remain in tact, as far as LU goes.

LU could be in for a very busy offseason. Should begin to take shape soon, either way.

things sure have changed from when this post started.....

not sure if you still want to update this post but coastal added a pg danny neiman

i think winthrop & unca move up to 2 & 3 in the preseason polls

with us, we will add a 6'8 sf/pf transfer lazar trifunovic and weve added 2 more recruits...a 6'5 sf gorkem sonmez and a 6'9 pf jamal curry, which means somebody is transferring. more than likely one of our backup point guards.

ha. Posted on March 20th, before all H E ! ! broke loose in the LU basketball world. Knowing what we know 3 weeks later, Paradox probably made the Understatement of the Year.

Losses: Kenny Thomas, Jamar Jenkins, Eric Hall

Kenny Thomas is a big loss for the Highs, but they don't lose much else. This will be Amir, Artsiom, and Joey's last year together, so they will probably make it count. The freshman class looks pretty solid, as well.
People are discounting the transfer of Lazar Trifunovic from Bingampton (he was their leading scorer and rebounder his sophomore year) who becomes eligible. He is the same size and frame as Joey Lynch-Flohr but will be our starting SF moving Phillip Martin to the bench. He's got size and a midrange game. The size in the starting line up is down right scary for a Big South team.....5'8 Johnson 6'5 McEachin 6'8" Trifunovic 6'8" Joey Lynch-Flohr 6'11" Art Parakhouski

Yeah... I just hope someone finds out you guys cheated or something, otherwise RU will dominate the league this year.

Radford now has seven recruits w/ signed LOI for next year. All of which look pretty strong....Most of us feel a couple of our bigs redshirt next year to let them hit the weight room and learn the game from Joey and Big Art. Here a couple of links about who we have coming in....We could field a V and a JV squad....

You can't really tell much from those write ups. They didn't sound overly impressive. And 2 Turks. For every impact european (or euraisa in this case I guess), there must be 4 or 5 duds. Their game just doesn't translate a lot of the time. Seems to me you guys just signed a lot of Big South quality players. I guess we'll wait a couple years to see how they pan out and which ones will transfer. On a side note, I think it's funny that Radford has fans all of the sudden.

Couple of things guys

1. LUCONN, I'm new to this board but not to Radford basketball or the Big South in general and do not appreciate the accusation based on nothing other than you seeing a new name. You have posted on the Radford board before I should have seen my name lurking around there.

2. I didn't claim we had a Big East recruiting class. Comparatively speaking I would put our class in skill, size, and potential against any incoming class in the Big South this year based off what I have seen on ALL the different BS schools, ESPN's notes on them, and the other schools after or interested in the kids we got.

3. As for the euro's, Sonmez the SF has played at least two years of high school ball here in the states against top high school competition (I know his team plays in Dematha's league) but you are right...Euro's are a crap shoot.

4. Did I mention next year's Big South Championship in my post? Of course we should be the favorite considering the returning starters but my post was about the amount and quality of the kids we are bringing in.

hey, might as well....it would save us the trouble, and you and your squad of walk-ons the emabarassment of getting blown out by 30.

just kidding, but geeze, this is a "next years big south" thread, we finalized our recruiting class today and my man cant even give you guys an update without getting criticized haha.

Here's the deal RU guys...................live with it!

You're going to be tough next year, and I think Faulkner may help, but mostly it will be your Seniors.

...yes....we will deal with it....I guess? I'm assuming that was some sort of jone? I'm honestly not sure what you were going for there.

As for contributors NEXT year I see a couple guys playing significant roles. Faulkner should run the point for part of the game allowing Amir Johnson to actually get a breather during a game. The two shooting guard recruits and Faulkner will all be pushing for minutes behind McEachin at SG, Coach G has already commented that he expects Sonmez to get minutes at SF, and then Spagnolo should log some minutes in the post behind Trifnovic, Lynch-Flohr, and Parakhouski. Like I have said before I hope we RS both of the other bigs next year at 6'9" 190 lbs they need to grow into their bodies and learn the game.

My biggest concern going into this year is how our rotation works out. We only went 7 deep and now we most likely play 9 or 10 every night. I want to see how our guys adjust to seeing a bit of the game from the sideline and how Coach G works the rotation.

It was about the response you got to your initial post and the fact that it is pretty muchwhat you could expect here. It's sort of a board "culture" We aren't objective, and a lot of us aren't shy about expressing it.

 Well said. Oh, BTW, a girl in my class's Dad is a pastor and graduated from RU. I wonder if he's any good
