Oh okay...
I'm just hoping that we get some playmakers in our Defensive Back field.
We have good role players, but we need some stars in that unit.

well chris rocco will be good if he can stay healthy, he wasnt practicing and i heard he got hurt the first day of practice but i dont know the severity of the injury although it should be known that he is a very tough player and hes fought through the injury bug before

I already know about Chris Rocco, now he is what you call a true field general... :D
But I'm more concerned about the other 3 spots (2 CB, FS) I know we have guys with playing exp., but we just need game breakers.
But I know Coach Rocco and Coach Clark will take care of that before they meet West VA.

Greiser was our SS last year. Unless Rocco changes positions, then he'll stay FS. Chris isn't a hard hitter so I see him more as a FS

I understand Holloway is sitting out waiting for eligibility approval from the NCAA clearinghouse. Anyone know if he may be able to participate at all this Spring, or if there may even be a problem in the Fall?

I can't wait for the spring game as well. In addition to the spring game we also get to celebrate the opening of the new bookstore.

Not sure why Holloway has to sit out at all. I thought that he took the transfer penalty last year when he transferred from Plant City to Armwood. I am curious as to what the problem is with him. He could be starter material based on what I have seen in the video and some of our better running backs of the past have contributed in there first year out of high school. Barnes, Worthington, Goodman, Nobles, Terrell, Carswell, to name a few.

The article says Chris Summers is a redshirt sophomore. I thought he still had his redshirt?
This is his 2rd year at LU. He redshirted as a Freshman.

He's finishing up his second year at LU, but in Spring practice they list the player's status for next season, so he's a redshirt sophomore.

Flames Add Short-Yardage Plays to Playbook
April 7, 2009

Under the lights at Williams Stadium, the Flames reviewed some of their base calls, while beginning the installation of their short-yardage plays, Tuesday evening, in brisk weather conditions. Click here for full story from SIDs:
And my favorite quote:
Assistant Coach Marshall Roberts, when asked to comment about the play from his cornerbacks at the midpoint of spring practice?
“I’m really liking what I’ve seen from Tim Torrence’s performance. He is a senior and he really has stepped up his game. Tim is kind of a specialist for us, as he does a lot of different jobs.
