If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Just knowing the history between Dell and Greenberg, I'd be stunned if VT was the destination. But who knows. People change.

Curry is replacable theyll find someone or multiple someones to fill in his role. No one is unreplacable on a basketball team, it may be difficult but it is doable

As HMO said, if you don't wanna be here, then by.

I don't care who the coach is, who the players are, or if they're winning every game or losing every game, I'm going to support this school. The diploma hanging on my wall says Liberty University. It doesn't say Seth Curry. This school gave me more opportunities than any other school I could've gone to. I almost went to Wake and I don't regret not going there at all. This school is special. It always will be. If he wasn't happy here then you know what, welcome to the club, freshman. 95% of us on here hated Liberty our first semester or two. It's like that for everyone. Unlike BJ Jenkins, he up and ran off to something bigger and better. At least BJ tried to stick it out an extra year.

This is the most arrogant and self-centered move I think I've seen in my entire life. He's thinking about himself as opposed to a team and a school that gave him a chance when no one else would. The word loyalty must mean nothing to him.

With that being said, he needs to redshirt a year. He really does. It was obvious this year at times that he was nowhere near some of the competition physically. As I've pointed out before, he's the age of a high school senior. Let him get in the weight room and grow up physically a year and then he might have a chance to be successful at a bigger school.

As for what that bigger school is - I think the ACC would be a terrible option. You're not gonna make the league playing 20-25 minutes a night averaging 8-12 points. It's just not happening. People give Greenberg crap for not recruiting him to Tech, but there's a huge difference in Tech now and Tech when Dell played there. When Dell played there, they weren't in the ACC. If I'm not mistaken, they were in the A-10. Seth could be a great A-10 player. I don't think he'll be a great ACC player. Because of that, and this is completely speculation on my part with no knowledge whatsoever, I think he'd be an idiot not to look into Charlotte. It's his hometown, they've got a history of being good in the past, and it's one of the biggest media markets on the east coast. Get that program back up to where they can beat the UNC's and Duke's of the world and shine there, and then get your money in the NBA. Don't go sit on the bench at Duke.

Now, talking about next year, I'm a little worried but not terrified. I think we'll still be a good team and finish in the top half of the league. This is now officially 100% Jesse Sanders' team. Build around him. I think he can score more than he did this year if given the chance and if that's his role. We'll see next year. Personally, I think this thrusts Jeremy Anderson into a starting role, and I don't mind that at all. I could see Jesse at the 1, Jeremy at the 2, David at the 3, Kyle at the 4, and Austin at the five. Yeah, that's four white guys, but hey, they've all got the chance to be really good (that was a joke, chill out). Then if the freshmen give us anything, and Carter continues to develop, I think we'll be in decent shape. We are likely going to have a very rough start considering the competition we're playing, but by conference season, I think this team will be going pretty good. Call it the Ewing Theory.

I do sincerely wish Seth the best. I will continue to root for him and will be excited what the future holds for him. I am thankful for the super fantastic season he and the rest of the Cardiac Kids gave us. Be rest assured that Seth will one day look back, see and realize that yes, there was something special and different about LU.

Charlotte would have to get an at-large bid to make it to the post-season so I don't know if that's a great choice (he has to be in the tournament to get the spotlight). How about Richmond? Or maybe UNCW? 2 great 2nd tier conferences. If I were him, I'd go to South Carolina. The SEC blows and it's a major conference. Perfect situation.

It does not make sense transferring as he has to sit out a year and one year further away from going to the NBA. I wish him luck. I rather have the space open for a student who wants to be at LU

Just to clarify Jon's point, Tech was in the Metro when Dell played at Tech. I think Louisville, South Carolina, Memphis, Florida State and Cincinnati were all in that league at the time.

I've said this a thousand times to coach's, administration, Professors, etc. Maybe it's the pride I have in our school and what we stand for but if you dont 100% want to be here then you should leave. No ill will, but leave. This is a place for those that see this as the top of our kind...we will reach new heights but we're still the top for what we believe in. This is the place for lifers...coach Tolsma's, Coach Green's, Pinder's....people who are VERY VERY good at what they do and can compete at ANY level but dont want to go anywhere as long as they are being treated with the respect they deserve.

Liberty is for lifers who respect what we came from and what we stand for...you have to buy into Doc's vision to be that type....but there will be many who will be credited when we arrive at the national level...we're already the top for what we stand for, but soon enough we'll be nationally recognized for being as good as everyone else, yet being different at the same time.

No ill will for Seth but he's more concentrated on his vision and not our vision...and that's cool....but we need lifer's
VERY well said HMO......I've been at Liberty for going on 15 years and I love it more each year. I will NEVER go to another school and I pray the Lord never moves me. I will forever be an LUFlame fan and that's why I steal the motto from the Tarheels, "I'm LUFlame born, I'm a LUFlame bred and when I die, I'm a LUFlame dead!"
It's a shame that scholarship athletics have ensured that few athletes will feel the same way about their schools.

I'm sure you feel the same way about your school because you too have a unique stance that's unlike anyone else...so the same rules apply...if going to a school that produces people who fight for our freedoms doesnt completely make you buy in then it's just not the place for you

Just a small suggestion... I think yall might have a better perspective if you go run around campus, and ignore the board until tomorrow. No need to sit and stew on something that is already over and done. And no need to get mad at a kid that thinks he may be able to make a 20 year career out of his basketball talents.... and is moving to a school to learn more by going head to head with tougher talent.

go to western kentucky. one of the 25 most winningest programs of all-time, so the respect and pretige is there. they have been pretty successful in the ncaa tournament this year and last year, so the chance to get post season exposure is there. courtney lee is in the nba right now and is doing reasonably well for a rookie and many other wku players have gone to the nba, so wku has the ability to make successful nba players, which is a pretty good thing to say for a mid major. also, he will be surrounded by other talented players, so he wont be able to be double and triple teamed so much, which will help his draft stock since i highly doubt he'll be double and triple teamed in the nba.

Yes, it's one of the good things that comes out of this kind of pain--closing ranks around your school and retouching your soul.

Scholarship athletes wear the colors and represent their schools, but rarely came because of the culture.

Here's a thing that I say about every player that willingly leaves Liberty or graduates and moves on in life:

There will come a day when something happens to Seth where things aren't going well. It could be at another school. It could be in the NBA. It could be completely not related to basketball. When that day comes, I can only hope that what Seth was taught at this school will be brought back to his mind and he'll remember that no matter how good of a basketball player he is, he can't do this on his own. We teach things here that may not show up in someone's life for years, but the foundation they get here will at some point come back to the forefront and they'll remember that Liberty's not about basketball, but about something much much more important than that.

Hey, let me stew for a season.....but only for a season. I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. You'd be stewing too if it happened to you.

SJ, I think you nailed it when you said UNCC would be a great place for Seth to go. Home town, several notches up in quality of play from the BSC, but a better chance to be a starter/star than at an ACC school. As far as playing in the NCAA tourney is concerned, sure as long as Memphis is there they aren't likely to win the conference, but a solid second place could get them an at large.
