Liberty's Rashad Jennings looks better and better every time the NFL puts on his game tape. The Big South's all-time leading rusher is coming off a 1,500-yard season and a 4,044-yard career. He's 6-1, 231 pounds and ran a 4.59 -- decent speed for a power back.

A number of NFL teams are showing significant interest in all-purpose running back. Four teams, Denver, Philadelphia, New England, and the New York Jets, held private workout sessions with Jennings last week and more are expected to follow. The Cincinnati Bengals is another team expected to come on campus and give the player a closer look.

Liberty RB Rashad Jennings good fit for Bengals

* Prediction: Bengals will have successful 2009 draft

With the NFL draft a little more than a month away on April 25 and 26, no running back prospect is catching fire like Liberty ball carrier Rashad Jennings. Jennings' draft stock has skyrocketed since his performance at the Senior Bowl, Scouting Combine and more recently Pro Day.

good article.

The Bengals? oooph. That's a shame, I had my money on Rashad *not* getting arrested during his career.

I know this refers to a silly mock draft, but it's interesting anyway.

I've seen several "experts" start to push Rashad into the second round. But I've seen others push him back as far as the 4th.

A lot of the Wonderlic scores have been leaked just today. Can't find Rashad's though. I'm guessing that means it wasn't overly impressive while not being embarrassing either, or else it would be listed.

Whats odd is that he didn't have to transfer to Duke to have a better shot at the NFL

ok, that was my one and only shot. I was doing so well, too. Sorry- I'm done now.

It's okay. I probably won't ever really let it go. But winning the Big South next year could help.
Don't get me started. Since this news broke, I've had a million and one ideas pop into my mind for what to do IF we win it next year. It would be epic.

Just so I fully understand the situation....RJ came back to Liberty after starting against the top competition to take care of his father...SC leaves to face tougher competition....looks like RJ will be drafted in the first 3 rounds...and SC is a long shot to get a chance...interesting...character pays and it doesnt matter who your playing against....talent is talent...that's why they have scouts...if it was only about the competition they wouldnt need scouts and they'd only take the starters off the top teams in the country every year in every sport

with a doubt he is! He's blessed to have a brother so he wont be considered just another good player like he would've been without those coat tails to ride

No, he just decided to have character and integrity. Like SC, RJ had a brother to help him through the process. I honestly believe that this whole playing against "tougher competition" is lie. You can't convince me that Dell Curry wouldn't had his son ready to go pro if he wanted to stay here.

Yeah, the Eagles have been on the Rashad bandwagon for a while... mock drafts and experts all seem to think that's where he'll go.

I hate it, but it's another reason for me to like the Eagles.

If there is one thing I have learned over the years covering the draft is that anything beyond the 1st round is a complete crapshoot. Everybody has their poker face on trying not to tip their interest. The most vocal teams are often playing the misdirect game.
