Look we got sold a big ponzi scheme. "Need a minority coach...moving to big time...trash those who sacrificed to build the program...spin everything as positive...attack those who disagree....call unethical "D1 business"....spend $$$ everywhere as a perception of progress...rewrite history to downplay accomplishments and focus on negatives....all present problems or blowouts in big games justify as nature of the beast."
In the end we are on to year 3

Who knows who we would have had on the roster but there would have been talent. RD's last year was the '06-'07 season.
RM's first year was the '07 -'08 season.
BJ Jenkins' numbers during the '06 - '07 season: 4.8 pts, 1.5 reb, 1.4 ast, 14.5 mins.
BJ Jenkins' numbers during the '07 - '08 season: 9.9 pts, 4.4 reb, 3.0 ast, 31.3 mins.
That's an improvement under the current regime. His numbers doubled!
Look, I think RD got the shaft. I was opposed to RM and I blasted him after the UNC-A loss at the beginning of the season. I think he was horribly outcoached during the second half of the VMI game.
ut there are a few things you need to keep in mind:
#1) Anthony Smith wouldn't be as effective if RM wasn't our coach (recent N&A article had Anthony saying getting a new coach was one of his best days)
#2) Seth Curry wouldn't be here.
#3) We lost far more players in the RD era (David Dees, anyone?)
#4) If BJ were still here, we'd really have a logjam at guard.
#5) Even if we beat VMI (and we were more than a BJ Jenkins away from that), there's no guaranteeing that we would have been able to beat Radford. Sure, we beat them on their home court, but so did they.
#6) It doesn't matter anyways because what's done is done, and RM is our coach.
If you can't deal with that, then seriously, take your Hater-Ade elsewhere. We'll see you when the bandwagon comes back into town.
