The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

Even if she didn't play another game in a LU uniform, she would go down as one of our program's best. She is currently ranked in the top 5 for career points & rebounds with 1387 & 704 respectively. She has a very realistic chance of becoming LU's all-time leading rebounder. She needs 329 rebounds next year to do so; she had 303 this year. She needs 623 points to become only the 2nd lady Flame to ever score 2,000 points; she scored 595 this year. Needs 767 points to become LU's all-time leading scorer, which will be very difficult.

Her resume is almost too long to even list:

2008
named State Player of the Year by the Richmond Times-Dispatch
Big South Player of the Year
led team in scoring and rebounding
Big South tournament MVP
Xavier and UNLV tournament MVP

2007
named first team all-state in 2007 by the RTD
led the team in scoring, rebounding, 3-ptrs made, and steals
Big South first team
4 time Big South player of the week
Big South All Academic Team
Big South Presidential Honor Roll member

2006
Led the team in scoring even though she only played in less than half of the games
VaSID all-state 2nd team
2 time Big South player of the week
2 time Big South freshman of the week
MVP of the NC State tournament
Big South Presidential Honor Roll member

Megan is now our 2nd all time leading scorer. She also passed Katie Feenstra for most career double doubles.

It will be interesting to see where Megan will go in the WNBA draft. Hopefully she can come to the Washington Mystics here in DC. They need all the help they can get right about now. lol.

Imagine how ridiculous her numbers would be had she not missed half of her freshman year and eight games of her senior year with injuries.

Im thinking about it and I legitimately think she could have gotten right up near Elena's scoring total. She is that good I think

Is she as dominant as Katie was? I don't know. I don't think so.

I dont know about dominant but the sheer fact that even when teams game plan she still can go out and score 15-20 points (and even 30) every time out

Personally, I would hate to have to choose between Elena, Katie, Megan. All were very, very good.

So true! But for real though, I know you guys saw how the refs wanted to keep things interesting yesterday. Megan and the rest of the ladies still rose above that madness!

As for Megan being the best player in LU history. Well, I haven't personally witnessed enough games to make that judgment. The BS championship game was only my second game (ODU in the NCAA last year was first). I will say that she is the leader as well as the heart and soul of this team. I definitely saw that. I liked the fact that she brushed off those tick-tack fouls and encouraged the team to stay focused.
