This matchup pits two opposite ends of the spectrum. Will Panera continue it's Cinderella run?

So which do you think, overall, is a better place to eat?

Take into consideration:

Value
Taste
Atmohsphere
Service

and anything else that would make a place a more desirable eating destination.

Panera.

This is probably because I can get Taco Bell any time I want it -- there are two within ten minutes of my house. For Panera, I have to drive a bit, but I'll do it in a heartbeat. Free Wi Fi is also a factor here -- I can work at Panera.

I love Panera...I'm there about 3 or 4 times a week doing work and knocking out emails

analysis: This will be interesting. Taco bell has the slight hand in that while its food causes anal seepage, the aftershock is still never a deterent from its deliciousness. However, Panera has just enough douchey fans that this could be close

HMO, is the WiFi angle what got your vote, or do you really prefer their food over TB?

Of course you could make it yourself. Could you not make a sandwich yourself with all kinds of foppy ingredients?

Seriously, you can go to Whole Foods or Ukrops and find what it takes to make a Panera Sandwich... Kroger probably even has all of it. Bacon, Chipotle Mayo, Fresh Baked Bread. Ding Ding Ding. You can find it all, or find what it takes to make it.

They typically charge you as more for the ingredients at Whole Foods than what it costs to have it made at a place like Panera. I started shopping at Whole Foods since when they first began in Austin but I haven't in years as their prices kept escalating.
