you'd think a team full of guards would have learned that at this point in the season

Very true... but it's a hard (& bad) habit to break as a guard to box out 20+ feet from the basket- it always makes sense to do so, but the tendency is to turn & watch- that split second glance causes you to lose your man- just like a post entry pass from a shooter who spots up elsewhere for the kick out pass back.. that's all it takes to get out of position...

Live Stats has 8-2 VMI for fast break points- 24-12 VMI for points in the paint though...

At this point, I'd just say we are falling apart. The only thing more embarrassing is the Winthrop half time score. McKay should just put the bench in and get them minutes, because it couldn't get much uglier.
