I talked to Coach Castro after the Bucknell dual. Pantaleo injured his ankle in the Virginia Duals and hasnt been back since.

Losing Joey P takes away not only possible points but likely points as well.

hopefully with the growth of the team we will have contingency plans down the road. It is one of the tougher weight classes to have a few options but it is one in which I am sure will be looked to in the future.

Thanks for the heads up on Joe and hopefully he will be back for the end of the year.

Hello all --

I was able to attend the dual meet last night, and am glad to report that the team really rallied when they needed to. LU over GMU 23-19 --- in spite of giving up the automatic 6 pts at 125lbs! Very nice win for Jesse and the team. This should help to expand LU recruiting opportunities in the north Va. area.
As an aside on Joe --- good news and bad news --- (Joe had major surgery on his hamstring last Thursday) ... the bad news is that he's out for the rest of the season. The good news is that the surgery went (words of the Dr.) "Perfect -- Joe should make a 100% re-covery".

Final aside --- the LU dual record currently stands at 10-9-1 ... with VMI and Appy st. remaining. If the team continues to wrestle well, then it's very possible we'll finish the season with a 12-9-1 mark. Considering how much the schedule has been up-graded, this would be an excellent accomplishment.
