The ODU Monarchs (15-8/8-5), winners of four straight travel to Hempstead, NY to take on the Pride of Hosfstra Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPNU. Gerald Lee continues to lead the Monarchs with a 15.1 point per game average, followed by Ben Finney at 10.7. Finney leads the team in rebounding at 6.3 with Lee second at 5.7.
I think ESPNU is channel 39 for you guys.

He has really turned it on lately. He isn't like most big men. Often times he plays point dishes it to a guard and runs to the post... gets fed and scores all in one motion. He can take a guy off the dribble from the foul line, or jab step and take a 16 footer. He was our conference player of the week.

The Monarchs (15-8, 8-5), who have won four straight, went into the game allowing an average of 60.3 points a game. It was easy to see why during the first 20 minutes, when they held Drexel to five field goals and 20 percent shooting.

With ODU trapping Drexel's ball handlers on the perimeter and mixing in some zone defense, the Dragons went the final 13 minutes, 47 seconds of the first half scoring only one basket. Perhaps more amazing is they were down by only 26-14 at the break. Gerald Lee, a smooth 6-foot-10 center from Finland, almost single-handedly matched the Dragons, scoring 13 of his game-high 23 points in the first half.

Flint looked at the score sheet and shook his head in disbelief. "We shot 20 percent in the first half. Twenty percent," he said.

Just to let you guys know there are discussions to make this a unique game.
Since the game is a 11am instead of doing something old like a "white out" their are discussions about making it a pj party. Everybody wearing their best pajamas to the game. Sounds like a fun idea and would sure to get ESPN's attention.

I'm not too concerned about this game because win or lose, we're not in competiton for an at large bid. We need to take care of business on the conference side. We need to focus on securing that 3 seed. I'd prefer to avoid that 4-5 game w/asheville.
