Sure he played well except for his shooting I’m not minimizing that, but where else are minutes going to come from? I think Kyle and Jesse could both see a reduction in minutes to allow Bill more playing time. Kyle and Jesse are both averaging around 32 minutes a game. If we cut that back to 27 each, then that’s 10 extra minutes for Bill. Minutes aren’t going to come from Seth or Ant, and Brolin isn’t going to lose minutes either.

I disagree. I think if we have someone step up to deserve the minutes, Seth and Anthony could definitely use the extra minute or two of rest during the game. Those two are playing ridiculous minutes. Seth is very very good, but remember he is still just a freshman. He's not used to playing as many games or for as long as he's playing right now. I'm not saying it will happen, but there's a chance he hits a wall at some point this season.

That’s true, I just think Bill needs some more time regardless of where it comes from.

Obviously you're not the only one if Ritchie is saying that too.

Call it a birthday present.

And I'm not talking about Luke.
Did it work? I'm guessing not since I haven't heard anyone talking about it.

Call me crazy because on the surface they are very different, but IMHO Bill's contributions resemble Jesse's in many ways (apart from ball handling of course). A lot hustle plays like drawing the charge and being generally disruptive on the defensive end. I think there are a few minutes there, as long as Stephene is on the floor, and he could Also allow Anthony and Kyle a bit more rest. Of course that means fewer opportunities for Tyler, who did not look very good last night after a nice outing Saturday.

No. Jeff Barber never came anywhere near us. Every time I saw him he was talking to Vince. Then again, it was Vince Redd so I can't complain.

I think he's getting there his outside shooting is way off and he's not getting to the hole as much and i'm thinking its because of fatigue. he hasn't had that extra step on defenders as much as he did at the start of the season. just something i noticed. granted he's still scoring 15-20 points a game which is great but even though he is still finding ways to put points on the board, he seems to be a bit fatigued IMO.

However, last night he had 6 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals

You forgot to add the nice little attitude towards a Senor trying to get him re focused after a stupid foul...again...things you cant chart!

That was part of the other things that annoy me.

If I wrote them all out we'd be reading a book.

He hasnt hit it yet...but it will be tough and superman like if he's able to play the next few weeks before the tourny just as good as he started...that's not easy for a Frosh

I think he'll be fine on weekend games. Against CSU, he was great.

When the fatigue is going to show a little bit is the second game of a Saturday/Monday split. Luckily, we don't have very many of those left. Most of our games are Saturday/Tuesday from here on out.

If fatigue were a factor for any of our starters logging huge minutes, you'd see their % drop at the end of games. But we actually don't start hitting shots until well into games. It really makes no sense.

Was out of town. These two wins were big, and somewhat needed.

Congrats -

yes i know he did awesome against CSU. I'm not talking about that. i'm talking about last night specifically. he just looked tired. and still he scored 15 which is awesome. but he's not superman and I just hope he gets some more rest so he stays healthy and doesn't hit that wall.

Just because his shooting percentage is lower in some games doesn't necessarily mean he is tired. Teams have played him much tougher since we’ve played Depaul. That was Cliff Ellis’ whole priority last night. He said so at halftime. He just wanted to slow Seth down. There were times when they would have 3 guys collapse on him. It’s kind of tough to hit a shot under that kind of defensive pressure.

Something nobody's mentioned here, what's with that BS foul call on Ohman where he elbowed Harris after grabbing a rebound? That's basketball and it's supposed to teach the defender to get away after a rebound. I noticed after Harris came back in he definitely got the opposite message and was groping every rebounder after that. Somebody should have given him a bow to the face. That would have learned him even if they called it a foul again.

Is this when Ant and he got into it?

I know he has been guarded well since Depaul. I think teams are starting to figure us out and thats what i've been afraid of. I didn't listen to the radio broadcast cause i was at the game so i don't know what Ellis said but i know thats most teams priority. The best part about seth's game is that he finds ways to put points on the board. If a team shuts him down on the perimeter, he drives, if they shut him down in the paint he can shoot from the out side. i'm just afraid that he's getting to hit that wall we are all talking about. but whatever its an opinion not a fact.

I don't think so. It was in the 2nd half, Ohman grabbed the rebound and was just clearing out space and Harris took it in the chin because he didn't back away. That's basketball. If you don't want an elbow, you get away. The refs rewarded him for being stupid.

Seeing the replay, he caught an elbow...froze for a second...and then hit the deck.

It was a ridiculous call. However, Ohman should have drug the ball right across his nose. They're going to call it everytime whenever a player catches an elbow but if he catches a little ball, it's fair game.

There was also that foul against Brolin in the last minute. I don't understand how it wasn't at least a Intentioanal or even a Technical.
