GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Tim Tebow is coming back.

Florida QB Tim Tebow is the fifth player since 1950 to win a Heisman Trophy and two national titles.

The Florida quarterback told a crowd celebrating the school's latest national title Sunday he wants to lead the Gators to another championship.

Tebow thrilled the 40,000 fans by saying: "Oh, by the way, let's do it again. I'm coming back."

You can tell they clipped it a little...I heard (which could be wrong, but this person was watching it live) that he was walking off the stage and then came back with that comment

This was the smartest thing for him to do...he's already a Heisman finalist (unless he's injured, and even then he still may be) but he has a chance to go down as the greatest all time college football player EVER...I know that's a very big statement but some are putting him in the top 5 as it is...if he adds another Championship and Heisman then that would seal the deal. Being the All Time greatest football player of all time is setting him up financially for the rest of his life regardless of how the NFL pans out

So pretty much what I'm saying is most people have everything to lose but nothing to gain for staying for a Sr season but really he has everything to gain with very little to lose...as of right now

Colt is collecting next year's title and Heisman. So just think of Tim's legacy as is.

good for him...as much as I want to hate him for being a Gator, he is a hard guy not to like (only a little bit though)

Again it makes sense for him to comeback one more year, he would not be picked to play QB in the NFL this year. Most scouts see him as a H back, tight end, etc but not QB

...and Florida could be returning all 11 starters on defense, plus all of their backups.

Also Florida has a weak OOC schedule next year.

No way. They play Charleston Southern. That has to count for something.

They get Charleston Southern, Troy, Florida International and then FSU. However, the SEC schedule is brutal.

UF if I am not mistaken has played any major non-sec teams outside the state of Florida in years.

Can we officially declare this to be an oxymoron yet? Huh? Can we?

(pre-emptive) Whatever, Sly.

Yeah, it is not like the SEC is living off its past reputation as an excuse to get a pass into the BCS title game every year (which not coincidentally was conceived and created by an SEC commish).

FIFY

When the SEC starts getting blown out like those Big 10 posers and OU every year...then you can gripe, Sly.

As long as they can fix the system so they don't have to face the best teams there is no excuse for them not to win.

They already faced the best teams. They call it "conference play".

Sly's beef needs to be with the Big 12 and their lousy 3-way tiebreaker rule.

Sly do you honestly think Texas would've won this game?? please...Utah has a better arguement

this Texas stuff use to be funny...but lately it is just getting plain ridiculous...and i HATE the BCS..so much so I haven't watched a national championship game in 4 or 5 years

The Horns laid an egg in the Fiesta Bowl so you haven;'t heard a word from me about them being national champs. Now Utah is the one with the biggest beef.

The system is beyond terrible and gets exposed as such more every year. Does anyone outside of SEC country really believe the Gators deserve the national championship? If so please state your argument. What a mess.

I just love that every year the BCS looks like it has more and more holes

I do think the Gators are the best team in the country...but their championship is tainted, that is for sure...and until the system is fixed every championship is going to be tainted because someone will always have an argument that they should have been in the game...yet, people still watch the national championship game...had a great rating...and that is all they care about

if people are still watching it, then they care, which means advertisers are still there...so why would they change it

people need to stop supporting this crap system by turning their tv's to something else when BCS games are on..
