The video was great - they played it after the game for Tyler and then Phil Ford said a few words to Tyler on the microphone, then Tyler thanked everyone, and he got emotional thanking his parents.

Although NOT a Carolina fan...that is one impressive accomplishment. Ford was arguably the top PG ever in the ACC and I had no idea he held the scoring lead until a few days ago.

he is a great college player, no doubt about that...I do not think it will translate to success in the nba, he should enjoy the college game as long as he can...

Admittedly I do not watch the NBA anymore because the style of play and the spoiled players annoy me! However, I still find it funny how so many think this kid can't play in the NBA. Why not? Educate me on the NBA please. Cause I don't get it!

I have never understood the venom directed to Hansbrough. He hustles. He plays tough. Just like with JJ Reddick? It is almost like if you are a good white player on a traditional CBB power, you are going to get hammerred. Is this just an ACC issue, becuase we just don't see this in the SEC?

Hansbrough has a SHOT to have a pretty good NBA career as a role player but it's tough to ever envision him as a legitimate starter in the league. Despite having a deep-seeded dislike for all things Carolina, I will give the kid credit and say that he has greatly improved his mid-range jumper which could go a long way to improving his chances of succeeding in the NBA.

He is a heck of a player. Of all the UNC players I have cheered against through the years, Tyler is the one that I wished would graduate and leave more than anyone.(Utmost Respect) He does everything you want your own team to do. I hope he stays healthy the rest of the year. The ACC record is all but his as well. Hatred is a sign of envy most times....and I think that is why Tyler is hated so much. Even the purest Duke Blue Blooded fan wishes they a had a Hansbrough on their team.

I just do not believe he is quick enough to be big factor in the nba...the quickness of the game in the nba compared to the college level is just too much for a lot of players...I was not trying to say hey won't last in the nba...but he won't be a star, that is for sure...he will come off the bench and play some solid minutes and make some hustle plays...there is always a desire for that in the nba....but he just does not have the quickness that is needed to be successful in the nba in my opinion...

and more times then not, college player of the years don't do nearly as well on the pro level...I am a Magic fan and have seen it time and time again with JJ...he has gotten his chance this season over and over again to prove himself...but he just has not adjusted well to the nba game...there are many more examples of this...but ultimately i think it comes down to the quickness of the game...

and i still think the nba gets an unfair rap by a lot of people on this board...yes...sometimes the game is boring, but an 82 game season will do that...come playoff time there is a lot of great basketball being played...

he's not big enough to guard most NBA post players, and he's not athletic enough to guard any other position. he has a tendency to not perform well on the offensive end when being guarded by players bigger than him. he plays under the rim for the most part.

Ha, ha....Tyler will be fine in the NBA. He'll do what the coaches ask & he'll work hard. He isn't Kobe, or Shaq (in his prime) but he'll have a serviceable NBA career....should be solid off the bench.

Its usually a safer bet to assume there will always be more NBA duds from Durham than Chapel Hill.
