Only Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy were invited to the Heisman ceremony in NYC. I'm pretty shocked that Graham Harrell didn't get an invite, not necessarily because he should have won, but he definitely has had a good enough season where he deserves to be in the building. It seems like the BCS and situations like this are turning college football into a joke.

Should be an interesting evening. It's going to be hard not to give it to Bradford with the way he has that offense going.

so only QBs can be considered the best in college football now?

Apparently...7 of the last 8 winners were QBs. Crabtree has a mind blowing season last year and he didnt even get to NY.

ESPN is playing up Bradford vs. Tebow and since they now decide all awards I guess it will between the two of them. I guess no one was watching when #2 Texas got a clutch performance from a kid named Colt to beat #1 Oklahoma and their not quite as clutch QB on a neutral field in Dallas. Too bad Mack didn't choose to leave Colt in for 4th Quarter stat padding like Stoops or Colt might've won.

you know who i think should win the trophy? Nate Davis of ball state. or michael crabtree. ESPN will never give those two the coverage though. This race will be bewtween the three ESPN annoints.

Yea I lve down the road from BSU and have gotten a chance to see Nate Davis play in the past and he deff deserves the Heisman and so does Crabtree/Harrell

Three Heismans, huh? I don't mind seeing a small-school guy win the award -- I thought Ben Roethlisberger was the best player in the country in '03 -- but, in this case, both Tebow and Bradford are so much better than anyone else mentioned.

Kuselias had a good point on his show today. The South will vote for Tebow and the other two will split the vote, with Tebow winning b/c of that. He likened it to Obama, Clinton, and McCain all running against each other.

Yeah, it's going to be tough for one of the Big XII guys to win because they steal votes from one another.

Tebow had the bad loss at home to an unranked team. Just like our loss to PC was a bad loss, so was his loss to Ole Miss. Just my 2 cents worth

That theory flopped.

I agree. The 48 touchdowns and 4,464 yards didn't hurt either.

Ole Miss wound up the 20th team in the nation, it's not a bad loss.

And even if Ole Miss was unranked now, a loss to Ole Miss will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be as bad as a loss to a transitional division one school. Even if you are comparing apples to oranges here, losing to Presby is just nasty rotten fruit.

Tim just didn't have the sheer numbers the other guys did. He would have won with the numbers he had last year...

I didn't make a theory. Just said it would be tough. Sam deserved it, and if I had a ballot he would have been on top, followed by Harrell and then Colt. But the way the Heisman is set up these days, I wasn't going to be surprised if Tebow won.

But if it makes you feel better, I was wrong?

No, I just was making a point that it did not matter that the Bradford and McCoy were in the same conference. Nothing aimed at you directly.

At the time Ole Miss was unranked they beat Florida at their home. So at the time it was a bad loss for UF, so I could care less what Ole Miss is ranked at the end of the season
