The reason I started this topic was because as soon as I saw this story on ESPN I knew Liberty would probably go after him. It makes sense.

Now that he is actually a possible transfer, I think some people might want to take back some things they said or maybe give me a little credit or something... I felt like people thought I was a moron for suggesting this. Now it might actually happen...

Also... I was thinking about the negative press aspect of this and I don't know if it will really be that bad of press for us. How often are transfers from FBS teams to FCS teams announced on ESPN? Did anyone know the Ryan Perriloux transfered to Jacksonville State until the season started? I didn't hear about it until after a few games...

2) Unless you already knew it was in the works, you had no logical basis other than "hes a center, ours is leaving" to going after him.
3) You didnt bring up the connection between him and Ryan Jackson
4) You had bad info on what he posted about Obama

I didnt think you were a moron, just not thinking it through using the info we had before the connection came out.

Now I may be wrong on the bad press thing. It may get swept under the rug, and it may not. At this point if we are going after him I do trust Rocco and their decision making so I dont have a beef with us signing him. Again we will just see how it plays out

1. I already apologized to Posty and we both agreed that we said things we shouldn't have said.
2. I didn't know it was in the works. I just figured they would go after him. It makes sense. And other people just thought it could never happen. But it might happen now.
3. I didn't know about the connection between them. From the beginning I said that this is just a long shot possibility and you jumped all over me.
4. On ESPN for the first few days all they knew was that he said "Farmers get out you guns". I didn't come out until later that he had said the "N" word.

I'm not trying to say that I am a football recruiting genius or that I am on the inside or anything. I am just saying that I had a hunch we would go after him and now that we did it makes you look like even more of a jerk for how you shot down this idea from the beginning.
