On that same note...Rashad's draft stock is starting to pick up...these aren't the end-all in terms of where they're going to be drafted, the 11th RB taken last year was Steve Slaton in the 3rd round.

Could be a mid-round pick.

Rounds...right?

I'm not sure how much weight these hold, b/c there will be some relatively "unknown" I-A RB who will come out of no where on a hot team like a ECU or others just starting to get attention

I'm not sure how significant it is because I know there are a lot of FCS players who make it in the NFL, but I haven't even heard of the last 5 recipients of the Payton award. I guess it's kinda like the Heisman, where being the best college player doesn't always translate into a successful pro career.

But you've probably heard of the two winners before that, Tony Romo and Brian Westbrook.

After finding out what the FCS 'In-Crowd" really thinks of us, I'm starting to feel that Rashad's Chances are not too good. He is the best in my summation, but do you guys think he has any chance?

No, most of the FCS has a hard on for App. Armanti wins going away.

That is what I thought. He is barely mentioned when I read up on the award!

It's either AE or Landers. For sure.

As recently as 11/7 Kiper had Jennings as his #4 running back. He's since been passed by the back from that yuppie school we just beat in basketball and some other guy.

In terms of overall talent, this draft may be the worse in NFL history. I can't imagine some team not taking a flyer on him in the 3rd-4th round.

An 8th place finish is outstanding! Congrats to Rashad!

I am still trying to figure out how Rhett Bomar got so many votes. He's a great player, but come on ...
